WL, AKL or POR

Need HELP! Please

I have been searching and searching and think I have narrowed it down to these 3 resorts.
Anybody have an opinion on any of them. I think I am leaning more towards WL.
These are the rooms I am choosing from;

WL-Woods view
AKL-STD view
POR- Water view

We are a fmily of 4 kids are 4 and 6.

If money is not a problem, I would choose WL. It is just a gorgeous resort. Great pool, restaurants, atmosphere. Love the boat to MK. Easy boat rentals. If money is more of a concern, I would choose POR. That is our favorite resort. Of course we hope to save enough to go to WL in October.

You probably can't go wrong with any of these choices.It might not be worth an extra charge for water view at POR,since the rooms open to an outside walkway, I found we always kept our curtains closed at the POR and Pop.Even with the curtains opened you can't really enjoy the view with this setup,so we figure why pay extra for a view we really can't see.
On the other hand,I am in the process of convincing myself to spring for the Savannah view for our upcoming trip to AKL. Although it may be tough on the budget, I think it might be worth the experience.

I agree about not paying extra for a view at POR. I would only pay for a view if I had a balcony.

We stayed at AKL last Nov and really liked it. We had a Savannah view and didn't see all that many animals so this time we are going with the pool view. It's also closer to Mara's etc. We were at the end when we stayed Savannah view and it was quite a walk.
We really enjoyed Mara's to grab something to eat, We LOVED Boma's, The pool area was very nice ( nice pool side bar), Bus service was for AKL only so we didn't have to make other stops... direct service, Lots of activities there for children and adults, We loved the lobby and the background music everywhere.... I could go on and on but we really liked it a lot.
Now, We also stayed at YC and we fell in LOVE with it there but we are going to stay at AKL when we go back in April since we need to cut down with the spending on this trip.

I would go with AKL if your kids like to go in the pool. This is the only one out of those three that offer the 0 depth entry. The WL pool I thought was a little small and shaped like a kidney bean. POR has a good pool but not the 0 depth entry. The playground at AKL is also right near the pool. Good Luck and have fun.

We just got back from AKL in Dec. OUr girls are 7 and 5. We had a Sav view room, and it was great. You dont have animals 24/7 outside your room, but they do come by quite often. The only bad thing was that we we at the end of the hallway, so we had a long walk to the front and to Mara. But when the animals are outside your room, there is no better experience. Your kids will love that. Another idea is to do what we may do next time, just get a standard room at AKL, b/c its much cheaper than a Sav. view room. Thn just walk around to the different savannahs and you can still see the animals. I figure using codes I may be able to stay in a standard room for about $90 cheaper and if I stay 4-5 nights, that is much more worth it for our family. I have not stayed at the other resorts you list, but I have visited them. My vote though is while your kids are young, you really need to do AKL at least once if you can pull it off. Hope that helps.

Wilderness Lodge would be my pick, closest to the Magic Kingdom and quick trip back to the resort if your small chilren need to rest.

We love WL... Although we are interested in AKL... Just not to fond of the bus ride to everywhere.

One thing that is good about the bus ride is that you don't share it with anyone so it is very quick. We loved that!!

Personally, for the money, my choice would be PO-R, either bldg 14 in Alligator Bayou or Partiere Place in Magnolia Bend. The place is gorgeous, convenient, and the castmembers are all great!

The rooms at the WL and AKL aren't but 25 sq feet bigger, but the furniture is much bigger, making those rooms seem cramped and clausterphobic, especially with the dark interior colors. However, if a balcony is high on your list, they perhaps you would consider WL or AKL. My choice, of the 2 would be AKL.... gotta love the animals!

What do your kids like.. My brother loves to gaze out the window (6) and I loved to climb trees/ woodsy stuff at 6.... It depends on your kids.. Also the price is a good thing to choose to

Animal is good if they are animally and like culture. alot of culture and animal stuff. That was fun.. But they have no-see-ums there so where bug repelant
