Does anyone know what the AAA rate is for a standard room at WL during off season, Jan. to be specific. Right now we are booked at $199. plus tx. per night and trying to figure out if it's worthwhile to get an AAA membership. Also, can you buy year passes with AAA?

It's tough to give an exact quote on what the AAA rate will be, because I believe it varies from resort to resort, and season to season.

I'm booked at the Beach Club in September of next year. It comes out to $273.90/night. The rack rate is $322.24/night. That's a 15% discount.

Having said all that, my best bet would be that your rate would be about $170. I believe you can get a quote from AAA that would give you an exact rate. That's about $30/night savings. Multiply $30 by however many nights you'll be staying. If a membership is substantially less than that, get the AAA membership.

As for year passes, I'm assuming you mean that annual passes? AAA doesn't sell those. You can only get them at the Disney Store, or online at disneyworld.com if you're not in Orlando.

Good luck!

Thanks! We'll be staying 8 nights, so definitely worth it.

The rate with taxes included is $188.60. We are hoping for an AP discount though. ::yes::

Make sure you check to see if the AAA rate is available for your stay! Just because you have the card, doesn't mean you'll get the rate. Hotels only allot a certain number of rooms for the AAA rate & they generally go pretty quickly.

You don't need your AAA number when you make the reservation. So you can book it with the AAA rate, THEN buy the AAA membership. You just need to show the card when you check in.

I've had AAA for years. You get lots of Discounts all over the place. Plus, you can order FREE travel books (I'm taking 200-300 page books, not brochures).

You can go to AAA.com to "explore" and find out if it's a membership you're interested in.

I have a Standard view booked for Jan 9-14th. Our AAA discount makes it $169 night + tax.

Hope this helps.

Actually, if you call CRO, they require a card number to make a reservation. I don't know if you need it just to get a quote, but you do need it to make a reservation. At least they did with me. I had to give them my membership number, and expiration date. But if you go to the AAA site, they'll quote you a rate without a membership, I think.

Hi,
We also needed our AAA Number during the reservation process. You don't need it to get a quote, but definitely need it to make a reservation.....Steve

We are booked from 1-6 in a Woods view for $207.00 incl tax.
We're also hoping for AP rates!

I booked a room at the WL for 4 nights Jan 16 to the 20th . I did not need my AAA number when I booked. I actually did not have one. I made the reservation and then when I found out I was saving, bought the membership. So in my case, they did not require my number when booking the room. Also, if you need to rent a car L&M car rental, if you click on specials, you can print a coupon to save 10% with a AAA membership. So I saved again.

p.S I am spending $746 for the 4 nights including tax.
