As a resident of Alexandria, VA, this makes me very happy. Our VA governor was trying to get them to move here, with lots of state and city tax funding for new a stadium with a very dubious financial statement. Most deals where a lot of tax money goes into financing stadiums do not work out well for the cities. Plus the traffic would have been a nightmare. So happy for DC, which would have been hard hit economically by the teams leaving the district. For months everyone was saying the move was a done deal. Now on the news the owner is making all nice with the DC mayor. It is pretty funny based on what he was saying before.
