Wizarding World of Harry Potter wins 4 Outstanding Achievement Awards

The Themed Entertainment Association announced their 17th Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards - known as the "Theas". These were announced yesterday at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) trade show currently going on in Orlando.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter won 4 awards:
Outstanding Achievement - New Theme Park Land
Outstanding Achievement - Thematic Integration of Retail, Food & Beverage Experiences
Outstanding Achievement - Feature Attraction "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey"
Outstanding Technical Achievement - "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey"

Other awards of interest:
Walt Disney Imagineer Kim Irvine, Art Director, Disneyland won the "Buzz" Price Lifetime Achievement Award

World of Color won Outstanding Achievement - Nighttime Spectacular

The Walt Disney Family Museum won - Outstanding Achievement for a Museum
