Hi, does anyone know the name [or even better, have a good pic] of this shop on the 192 near the Poinciana Blvd turn off? It's been a couple of years since our last visit and the kids are asking to see what was for them a landmark which singalled that we were nearly back home to our villa. Thanks.

Seen the thing, passed the thing many times but can't for the life of me remember the name of the shop :confused3 Maybe a gift shop?? Sorry I can't be of any help but try this link:

It is a scroll through map of the 192 which you can navigate between each of the major intersections. All the shops, restaurants, motels etc are named at their location. Maybe the name will jump out at you :thumbsup2 And then again.............

Good luck

I'm almost certain that it is called Merlins.

Our kids loved spotting The Wizard shop as well as the mermaid shop and the animal shop :)

I have no idea what it was called - sorry :)

Thanks for the replies.

It was indeed a gift shop - we have been inside. I'd already had a look on the kiss192 site and still couldn't figure out where it was. We would see it after turning left onto 192 from Poinciana and it was on the right of the strip [looking towards WDW]. I have a feeling it was on the area before the Polynesian Isles turn off which might make it the Bargain Zone shop but like Minniespal says, I feel it had a more memorable name. I doubt it was after Polynesian, because that would make it close to Orange World and I'm sure it wasn't that near to there.

I've Googled for ages and am surprised I can't find a mention or a picture of it. I suppose I'll maybe have to try again.

I believe I have a pic of it on the other comp. I'll try and find it for you later but today I'm dead from the flight home :)

Thanks for the link irisheyes, but it doesn't look quite right - there was definitely another shop right next to the one we were thinking of.

I reckon Dimplenose has the picture I was looking for: the wizard has two hands and there are shop units either side. I'm sure that's the one.

Thank you :thumbsup2 :wizard: .

No problem I stay near the one Dimplenose posted too up in oak island habour when we see that shop we know were just there :cool1:

I will check this out on Monday when we go and report back:thumbsup2

There is more than one of these on the US192 and they don't have memorable names! The one you're talking about is between markers 10 and 11, k-herm. Here's a 360 degree view of the one near between Entry Point Road and Formosa Gardens Blvd (i.e. the one Dimplenose refers to).

This one appears to be called "Magic Castle", but I can't establish where it is. It looks different to the other photos already posted.

Ah yes, that shot makes it very apparent - it has the Entry Point/Sherberth Road sign outside, so it's the same one that's shown in the 360 degree link I posted earlier. It must either pre or post-date that image.

OK, here are a couple of screen grabs from Google Earth showing the one between Poinciana and Polynesian Isle Blvds.

You can make out the hat and hands in this one:

And this shows where it is in relation to the "Orange":
