I would just like to ride some key rides, like Alice and Mr. Toads and maybe snow white. We have AP's so we can't do MM. I know last year (I think during the fireworks) that area was roped off so when the ropes were dropped we got to be first in line for some of those rides. Does anyone know more about that? Or have any other tips for getting on these rides with little wait time.

We actually did FL on our trip a few weeks ago on a regular, non MM morning. It was our first day at the parks, and I figured best to do it first and then we could do it again on our MM if we so chose. The crowd at rope drop pretty much split in half - those off to do Nemo, and those heading straight to FL! We stopped off for FP's for Buzz, and dh got lost on the way (he was supposed to get in line for PP and I would catch up....), so even losing those few minutes, we did the following...

Park open @ 10
PP - 7 minute wait
Dumbo - waited one round (Ride was running when we lined up, and we were next on...)
Mr Toad
Carousel (dh and ds rode Matterhorn)

We missed Alice, as it was broken down, so we headed to TL to try and meet Buzz at 11pm.

So we did half of FL on a non MM day with little to no waits. By the time we left FL @ 10:50, there was still hardly any wait for Pinnochio or Snow White (too scary for my ds!), but lines for Dumbo, PP and Alice (when they fixed it) were pretty long. Storybook Land boats line was INSANELY long, however it still seemed to move pretty fast, as did the Casey Jr line.

Not sure about FL during parade times - we kind of avoided FL like the plague during the afternoons, since it was busy and congested. Someone else can probably help you, though!

I was wondering the same thing. DD has the option for Early Entry but since I am an AP holder and we are staying off-site, I don't.:guilty: I just hope that it is not too crazy. We may try to hit some of the FL rides on Fri night since the park is open late.

i have found that the park is empty at opening and at close. so we do fantasyland first(we have little kids) and then fastpass what we can and then around the time fireworks happens alot of people leave and btmrr, indy, space, splash and hm all become walk on rides.

I have an AP as well, so we plan our FL touring by being at the front of rope drop on a non-MM day and then following the same order as recommended for a MM day:

Peter Pan
Dumbo
Alice
Matterhorn
Toad
etc. . . .

I have also experienced that roping off for the fireworks and it worked great for us! We pretty much walked onto Dumbo and Peter Pan after the fireworks were done. But as others have said, you can just as easily do Fantasyland on a non-MM morning than on a MM morning.

The thing with MM is that there's nowhere to go but Fantasyland and Nemo. Nothing much else is open (yeah, shops, but you guys know what I mean). So everyone who has MM is going to those places.

But on a non-MM day, there might be more people there at opening, but they will be dispersed throughout the park, since everything but TT is open. So really, if you don't have MM, just go to FL or Nemo on a normal, no-MM day, and head on over like DangerMouse said!

We will be in the same boat this time. No MM for us with AP's and not staying onsite until our last night. So we'll hit FL on a non-MM day. Last year everyone rushed over to Nemo every day, and we had FL pretty much to ourselves. LOL We didn't even need MM! So we used it for Nemo! It's quite easy to get them all done first thing in the morning on a non-MM day.

So just to confirm then, EE (MM) days are on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday right? I don't want to plan my FL day for a wednesday only to find out it was a MM day.

That is correct. :thumbsup2

I don't know if this is normal, but this week on our Thursday MM and yesterday's MM Space Mountain, Buzz, Astro Orbitor and Star Tours were open as well.

Wednesday we were there at regular rope drop, and went immediately to Nemo (first boat!), then FL and were able to do all of the rides in the first hour. Peter Pan's three times! So OP, it definitely can be done. Especially if you're not doing Nemo. That ride takes so many people out of rotation it's amazing.

Being there at rope drop every morning worked wonders for us. It was incredible what we could get accomplished.
