I would like to be able to buy milk, lunch meat, buns etc.... The rest (chips, cookies, fruit snacks etc... ) I plan to either pack in my luggage or mail to myself a couple of days ahead of time at the resort. (would that work?)

So, where can I get these perishable things? Is my only option taking a cab to go grocery shop?

You don't mention where you are staying but onsite resorts sell food in there gift shops. Hope this helps!

The home away from home resorts (Old Key West, Boardwalk, Fort Wilderness, etc.) usually sell lunchmeat. I think most of the reosrts sell bread and they all sell milk in the gift shops. You can even pick up boxed pastries in the gift shops.

If you use one of the limousine services- several offer a 30 minute stop at a grocery store- it's about $80 RT for the towncar/or van and with our family of five- it works out cheaper than taking the Mears Shuttle. Some options are www.yourride.net tiffanytowncar (search google) and I think there's another one- but this would help you!

We were thinking of driving but my mom said she would pay for our airfare if we wanted to fly..... :) I don't really want to rent a car that we would never use.

If you Fly, definately take advantage of a towncar. You will make up the difference in price with the money you save my making a grocery stop. Prices at the resort gift shop are high. We did buy some milk towards the end of our trip, but every else, we bought at Publix, or packed

Buy a styrofoam cooler, at the grocery, or pack a colapsable one in your lugguge. Fill it with ice once or twice a day, and you wont need to rent a fridge. I just didn't trust lunchmeat, after the first or second day.

Try www.netgrocer.com
They will ship to hotels. Have never used the service, but others have posted success using this at Disney. Also, the prices are lower than the Goodings at the Crossroads (closest supermarket to Disney). You'll pay shipping, so you won't save much money, but you should break even or possibly come out ahead... and they can be waiting for you when you arrive.
