withdrawal anyone?

Hi everyone
Is anyone else out there a disney/universal addict who is currently unable to go for a while? I surf these messabe boards to get my fix. We've been down5 times in the last 4 years - it's been nearly a year since we went down. The kids just made a switch to private school and at $13,000 a year for the both for school we couldn't justify the expense right now and it's killing me! I seem to be taking it harder than anyone else!! I read through everyone's trip reports as if I could transport myself right into the pictures!! We plan to go again Feb '09 no matter what, but that's still over a year away!!!
Has anyone else experienced this? Do I sound like a spoiled baby even though I'm a middle aged mother of teens?

We just went at the end of September and I am starting planning for Fall 2008, and I am even theming everyone's Christmas and birthday gifts around the trip. The planning is my "fix" I guess!

Me me me! We haven't been in 1 1/2 years and I'm dying! DH and I are even thinking of taking our 6 month old twins down for a 4 day Christmas trip....are we NUTS??

since they have baby swap, why not? They'll love the lights and sounds and if they don't mind the stroller i think you're good to go. Just plan on lots of breaks and stops and a leisurely pace. The plane flight might not be so much fun - stroller, car seats, diapers, etc.

I want to go so bad I can taste it.

I'm mentally planning a trip for 2008 although no one in my family knows about it yet. Our last trip was August 2006. My kids want to go, but probably not as badly as I do.

This is me too. I love Disney and due to $$ issues, we probably won't go until June '09. I read everything I can get my hands on about Disney.

A co-worker made my day today because she asked for advise about her trip at the end of Jan. I was in heaven. Now I really want to go back.

I'm going to help her with her ADRs next week, and she is borrowing my books.

The kids keep saying that we are going and that I am only telling them we aren't so that I can surprise them. I told them that we weren't and why. I was honest and serious when I told them. I really worry about what will happen when they realize we can't.

DH is totally supportive and says he will try hard to make it work. $$ is a big issue right now. We both have full time jobs and even part time ones.

I'm sorry for rambling, but I couldn't believe that this board was here. I am feeling it anytime I let myself think about our wonderful trips.

Oh, I'm right there with you! We've gone yearly (at least, if not 2x) for the last 9 years -- our last trip was this past May -- and we won't be able to get back 'til at least Dec. '09!

We enrolled ds in private high school and dh went back to college, so unfortunately our treasured family Disney trips will be taking a backseat to education expenses.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to stand a 2-1/2 year gap between trips! Snif!!

i am so glad to know i'm not alone. If I read everyone's messages and look at everyone's pictures in their TRs maybe I'll make it another 15 months till I get their again. That and with everyone's support....
I just get so jealous when others talk of their upcoming trips!!!

I'm in withdrawal too.... We just went in August. We came home on Sept 1, and by, Oh, I don't know, Sept. 3, I already wanted to go back. We have to update a bathroom and do more work on the house, plus my car has been 'acting up' so I don't see Disney $ available probably til '09.

The Disboards help, and I have been helping a friend plan her kids' first visit, and a friend at work is a fellow Disney Freak, so I get my jollies that way!!

I am totally jealous of other people's countdowns tho.

Totally ! We were just there over spring break and I am already dieing to go back. We are planning on going for Christmas next year and we can't wait!!!

Count me in................... I tell my husband I just work to pay our daughter private school tuition, and my Disney vacations. We are going in 45days! Just paid off our final payment! We just came back in August. My husband loves Disney around Christmas and ask if we could go. What? Of course!!!! I already have our August trip planned already. Before I go on our trip I already have another one planned. Usually we go at least once a year so we are lucky we don't have to wait to long. Planning is a fun way to pass the time and of course comming to the Dis for Disney Support is always fun. Happy planning
