With the CR rumors swirling, this DVC newbie has a question ...

Okay, DH and I are talking seriously about investing in DVC. We had an utterly magical WDW vacation in December - I am talking HEALING stuff that I never would have believed if I hadn't seen it myself. We agree that making WDW vacations a part of our lives is important to us. We also agree that, if Disney proceeded with a CR DVC, we'd jump on it. That, however, will be several years away, if ever. Finally, to my question: We wondered if current DVC members typically get first crack at new developments before the general public? If so, how does it work - oldest members to newest? A lottery? We thought it might be an added incentive to join now rather than later. Thanks for any info!

There are so many points available with a new property, it was never necessary to do a lottery or priority for current members. There was alot of hype when BCV first went on sale, they did sell alot of points when it first when on sale, but it did not sellout to current members.
