Okay, to start off, :wave2:. For those who don't know, my name's Jaimie, I'm 16, and I just came home from my 12th trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. This is, I think, my first official trip report - I think I tried to write one a few years ago, but that didn't work out. Hopefully this one will. However, I have no idea what to write about, so I'll be figuring this out as we go along.

This trip seemed to be filled with luck, both good and bad, and it seemed to be the answer to everything that happened on this trip. But before I get ahead of myself, I should probably try to explain the events that happened before.

Back in February, I pretty much pryed it out of my mom that she had planned another trip to the World, in June '09. I was, needless to say, ecstatic! The only thing I had to worry about was snow days. (My last day of school was the 19th, a Friday, but if it snowed, we'd be pushed to finish on the 22nd. Luckly, this didn't happen. :) )

I was all set to go until right before spring break in the beginning of April. My dad had been in a lot of pain for the past 3 weeks or so. Knee pain. It was getting to the point where he couldn't walk. So, my dad finally decided to go get that checked out. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was. Needless to say, he was out of work for a month to recover, and his doctor told him to take it easy for the next few months - the crucial time it would take for him to recover.

So there goes the Disney trip :(, or so we think.
I can't remember when, but my mom asked her closest cousin and her daughter to join us for the week we were scheduled to go. They said yes!

And that's how my 12th trip to the world began...

Hopefully you've stuck around for this post. This is your last chance to exit. ;)
Please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the thread, and please, no flash photography, eating, drinking, or smoking.

Next up -- Introducing the family.

I'll try to keep this short & sweet. There were 4 of us on the trip for the most part. One day my mom and I were joined by our cousins that live about 45 minutes or so northeast of the resort, so I guess I'll give everyone a description!

The Main Four

Jaimie - :smickey: You already know a little bit about me, 16 and home from my 12th trip. I'm the biggest Disney freak of the family, and it's the reason my mom schedules a trip year and year again. My favorite character is Mickey Mouse. My favorite park is EPCOT, I collect pins, and my favorite ride is Rock 'n' Rollercoaster.

Kiara - :donald: (K) Okay, that's not her real name, but her name does start with a K. To keep her identity safely hidden, I just changed the name to a Disney character. That'll probably be the same general rule for everyone else mentioned. She's 15, has been to Disney a few times, and adores Pooh, Stitch, and Donald. Her favorite ride is the Pooh ride in Magic Kingdom. She's also a pin collector.

Mommy - :maleficen Nah. I'm just kidding with the smiley. princess: She's also been to Disney 12 times, BUT, she went once before I was born, and I went once without her, back in '07. I can't really speak for her about favorites or anything, but my goodness, she loves the Beach Club!

Roz - :tinker: (R) K's mom. I specifically chose this name for her because she loves Roz's voice. (You know, Roz, from Monsters Inc.) Anyway, she loves Tinkerbell, and is pretty much happy with anything. :)

And Three More!

Eeyore - :eeyore: (E) She's my dad's cousin, and our immediate families are really close, despite the fact that we live about 1000 miles away from each other. Despite the name and smiley, E is anything but eeyore. She's still a child at heart, and that's what I love about her.

Minnie - ::MinnieMo (M) She's the closest cousin in age to me, and she's 17 years old. We never really got along until she moved away, and that's made us so much closer. Anyway, she's not much of a thrill seeker when it comes to the rides in Disney. I know for a fact that she LOVES Pirates of the Carribbean.

Jack Sparrow - :yoda: (J) The smiley and the name don't really match up at all, but this perfectly sums up my 12 year old cousin. She sometimes doesn't really make too much sense, but she is my little Yoda. She's also a huge Star Wars fan. (The last 3 people are responsible for making me into the biggest Star Wars fan you're likely to meet.) Anyway, she also likes pirates, and she's luckily a thrill seeker.

So, that's the family.
Next Up - Hopes and Wishes for this Trip

Yes, I'm really dragging this out, but I'm enjoying it. :surfweb:

It seems that every time I go to Disney, I leave something out, and find excuses to go back. This trip was the longest we've had in about 4 years, so, I wanted to get a lot accomplished.

1. I really enjoy photography, and I was annoyed with how some pictures from last trip came out. Goal 1: Take better pictures. (I'll incorporate some, don't worry!) I made an entire list of pictures to try and take when I found out we were going back.

2. Mickey Waffles. As much as I crave them, I haven't had them in years. :sad2: So, I needed to get my hands on them!

3. Churros! They're the best in Disney.

4. Getting along with my cousins. Kinda silly, but before the trip, I hadn't talked to K :donald: in a really long time, so I was antsy about that right up until she was at the resort with us.

5. More pins! I haven't done a lot of buying / trading in awhile. With the recent creation of my Disney Pinboard, I figured I should fill it up. :)

6. Make the MGM (it'll never be DHS in this trip report) extra magic hour go smoothly. My dad and I do this together every trip, so it was kind of weird to do this without him.

So, that's some of the stuff I wished to accomplish on this trip.

Next up... Day 1 - We're Leaving!

I have to see pics! We were there the same time and it'd be hilarious to be in the background of one of yours!
