With Easter so late in 2011...

Is there any speculation regarding the dates for "value season"? I'm wondering if the value season may extend into March at all. Just hoping!

That would be nice. Our spring break falls the same week every year, regardless of when Easter falls - March 20-28ish. It would be great if those dates did not fall in Peak Season, but my guess is they will continue to. But I am hopeful that since Easter is so late, that our dates might be included in some type of discount dates in early 2011.

Value season has always ended days prior to Prez weekend regardless of when Easter falls. It will stay peak season until the Sunday after Easter (May 1, 2011). I've never seen it change. While Easter may be late, spring break is still a busy time of year. Normally we arrive the last week of April and stay throughout the first week of May, but in 2011 we had to modify our normal routine and we will be arriving May 1 and staying to May 13. No way are we paying peak rates on a Saturday night arrival. I fear it will be busier than normal (been going the same time for 16 years straight) because the window of non-holiday visitors will be shorter. There are lots of folks like us who try to avoid Easter week and Memorial Day weekend, so the window is very short next year. This year I booked my May 2011 stay earlier than normal, so already have my reservation for a BWV standard studio for 12 nights.

I would think no, because of college breaks in March, but one can always hope! I would think it would stay peak season and then maybe, if there aren't as many bookings due to the late holiday, then you'll see some discounts.

I am bummed: my DD's birthday is 4.21.05, and in 2011 she'll be starting kindergarten. Every year I've taken her to the Disney parks for her birthday. There is no way I am taking her to WDW Easter week.
