Planning a Nov 2005 trip with a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old. Can't decide between Poly or CR Tower. CR tower is only $200 more. Please tell me what you liked/disliked about each hotel.
Thanks in advance for the replies. :love2:

Poly pool is fabulous for little ones. They love playing on the beach also.

We stayed in Poly Conceirge back in 2002 when DS was 4. Very convenient. Pool was great. We LOVED it! We are staying in September at the CR resort Tower.

we're at the CR now (we decided to try it out for a few days) and i hate it...
no disney magic....

I did thoroughly enjoy our stay at the Contemporary, but for LESS money I'd probably stay at the Poly. You can walk to MK from the Contemporary, but keep in mind that you will have to take two elevators to get to the monorail if you have stroller. The escalator was way too thin to fit our double stroller. My only concern about the Poly would be if you have to fold up the stroller to take the little boat that goes from Poly to MK (we never took that boat). From the Poly to MK on the monorail, you will have to make two stops, but you can walk to TTC and take the express MK monorail or the monorail to Epcot. The pool at the Poly beats out the CR pool hands down. The CR pool is a little sparse.

I would say Poly also. The zero entry pool was great for my one year old. We did take the boat many times to the MK, I think it's faster, and it was no problem folding up the stroller. We also used the monorail with no troubles, taking the elevator to the second level and then hopping on the monorail, no need to fold the stroller. We also walked to the TTC several times to get on the monorail to Epcot, that was faster than taking the resort monorail to the TTC and then switching to the Epcot monorail.

I would stay at the resort that appeals to you most. Both will be fine for a family with two little ones. When our children were little, they did love the beaches at the Polynesian but I think the CR has a sand area as well, doesn't it?

Just wanted to add that if you do pick the Polynesian another transportation option that works well with strollers is to walk to the TTC and take the ferry to the MK especially if you are in Tokelau, Tahiti or Rapa Nui.

If you enjoy pools at all, definately the Poly. The zero entry pool is great for little ones. They can sit and splash in the water without you having to hold them (of course you need to be right there, but the water isn't over their head -- it just laps up to the edge of the pool like a lake/ocean). The grounds of the Poly are much nicer IMHO too, as well as the transportation options since you can walk to the TTC. Personally I also find the CR to be "just a hotel." I might as well be at any large hotel anywhere in the country.

Have fun!

I don't get to stay at the POly until next year (can't wait), but I have stayed at the Tower in CR, with a 2 year old. I really enjoyed it. Chef Mickey's is right there, which was great for us. My son also loved watching the monorail come right through the building. I liked the ease and convenience of everything being right there. Also, you share busses to MGM with Poly and GF. The good thing about the CR is that you are first on the bus to the parks, meaning you get a seat, and first off back to the hotels, so if you are standing, it won't be for long.

The pool was nice, but it was a hike out there from the tower. Also, it is not zero entry, so we had to hold the little guy whenever he was in the pool. They do have life jackets though and every day but one, the lifeguards let my little dare devil down the slide. I would definitely stay there again, but we wanted to try the poly.
