Now as for the recovery, I am a physical therapist and have had several arthroscopies myself. I know from first hand experience how important the recovery is. I think that a DCL cruise is the best treatment. Don't you?
Maybe there is someway to get the insurance company to pay for a DCL cruise to help speed your recovery. Now wouldn't that be wonderful? And I would gladly volunteer to be your therapist on the cruise!
I am certain that you can find a way to prop up the leg and still be posting here tomorrow. Remember lots of ice on the knee can help the pain!

Don't forget your post-op drugs! No 'toughing it out' - please take your pain medication for the first few days (along with some prune juice or a mild laxative!) so you are able to move around comfortably. And do what the Physical Therapist tells you to do - they know their stuff.

I mentioned to the insurance company that I thought I could recover faster on the Disney Magic, but they didn't buy it, oh darn!!!

Getting ready to head off to bed, I need to get my rest before tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting this done and over with, and start on the road to recovery!!!

Good Luck Andy! We will be thinking of you and pray for a speedy recovery. I just had surgery last month and was soooo stressed out for it to be over. The disboard helps relieve some of that stress. The Magic could work Wonders though.

Hey Andy,

Get plenty of rest, keep that leg elevated, keep the ice pack on it, watch lots of TV and stay off of the computer, unless of course you have wireless and can surf while you're reclining!!! DH just had that surgery last fall. It took him a good 3 mos. to fully recover so take it easy and be patient. It will be so worth it once it all heals up nicely. He feels like he can do anything now, I don't let him of course cause I don't want to go through that again! Helping him in and out of the shower was a killer, and a comedy, if you know what I mean!

Take it easy!!!! You'll be good as new soon!
