Has any one done a wishes wedding for 10 or 11 people. If so could you please send me information such as BEO (if your willing to share), info on reception details, or any information. If any one has any input that would be great...I really do not know what to do. Thank You

What day of the week would you like to have it? That would determine mins. Also any idea of loacations? I had a larger wedding but I am sure a bunch of us could help.

Just asking in case you aren't aware of your options, but have you considered an Escape package? They are MUCH cheaper than Wishes packages and are geared toward smaller guest parties.

I am looking at the WP on a monday. I already have an escape wedding booked but I want a DP, M&M, a private room for dinner, MK photoshoot (+ other park) and I am using outside photography. I also have 3 females in the wedding party to get flowers for, both our moms and our dads. So from the math that I am doing a wishes wedding works out to be a better value for my money. For everything I want the escape comes to over $10,00 While I am still under the $10,000 min for the wishes wedding. Do fees count toward the wishes min?

I am going to call disney tommorrow to see what they say but I would love any input!!

THank YOU!!

i am having 18 on a tuesday and my beo is in my planning journal in my signiture

we are at 12977 but i have a lot of extras i feel and after 2pm reception

Edit: Apparently I was wrong in service charges and taxes counting towards minimum. I apologize, I was under the wrong impression

Yes the floral moving fees & setup fees. At least that is what I have been told, however my floral moving fee is like 25 so its not going to make or break it.

The 21% service/tax charge (or whatever its called) DOES count towards your total amount. So for example if your minimum for a Wishes Wedding is $15,000 and you've only chosen $13,000 worth of options your total after service charges would be $15,730 which would put you at the minimum.

I was under the impression that youre min was $15k or $10k and this could not include tax and gratuity so your min would be another 27%(roughly) over the min spend.

If I am wrong then you have just made my week!!!!!

You're not wrong. You have to meet the minimum before tax & tip. I remember reading in a few TR where brides had to add a few things to meet the minimums.

If all the taxes, service charges etc are on top of the minimum, how did Carrie stay so close to hers?
Hopefully she'll be along shortly to reveal all!! ;)

Tax and service charge DO NOT count toward your minimum. Setup and delivery fees DO count toward your minimum.

So figure if you can bring your wedding in right at the $10,000 minimum, there will still be $1,200-$2,000 on top of that in service charges and taxes (the amount depends on which elements you pick b/c not everything gets tax or service charge).

From the DFTW website:

Wedding Expenditure
The following minimum expenditures (excluding tax and service charges) must be met to host an event at the WALT DISNEY WORLD Resort.

yep that's right!

I think however, you may find it worth the extra $1,200 if you guys can swing it to have the wishes wedding because of all the extras you want. Plus you get a lot more flexibility. Otherwise there are many girls here who have had escape weddings and really put their personal touch on it as well.
