Everyone is always curious when is the earliest you can book a wishes wedding? My question is...... when is the latest you can book one and get it put together? I'm thinking during the week...not on a weekend.. Thanks for the info

I think there is a minimum of 60 days (maybe 90) to put it together. It can be done in a relatively short amount of time.

Wow... 90 days is crazy!! Especially for a wishes wedding. I've been planning for 6 months and I feel super rushed. You also have to think of your guests... people like to save up and plan for a trip like this, and they may not like being surprised with a destination wedding 2 or 3 months in advance.

My coordinator told me they could do one in 30 days and that they once did one in 2 weeks. I don't think it's crazy at all (I mean, except for guests needing enough notice to get hotel rooms and cheap airfare).

Disney does everything for you. All my planning stress is coming from outside sources - the Disney parts are easy.

If you pretty much know what you want, you can totally do it!

Ilovepeanut, welcome to the Dis!

I had a custom vow renewal (what is called a Wishes today) and it basically took 3 months to plan. My vow renewal ceremony was held at night in the Wedding Pavilion, and it was immediately followed by a progressive dinner party inside the Great Movie Ride at the Disney Studios theme park. The evening ended at 2 AM with a custom fireworks show. Click here to view some photos.

It was an amazing evening and it was planned in 3 months. Honestly, though, I think Disney could have pulled it off in a lot less time. They're pro's at what they do.

Have fun planning!

I want to warn you that if you choose a popular venue for your ceremony or reception, that is where you'll have to make the most compromises. In all likelihood the most popular venues will already be booked. So, if you have your heart set on a specific venue, it's best to plan as far in advance as you can. But if you're free & easy and willing to go with the flow, your planning will be easier.

Please understand that Disney does have a minimum amount of time that an event can be planned within. They won't waive from that. (If you ask them what it is, they will tell you.) Someone here a year or two ago wanted to pull off a wedding with just two weeks (I think) notice. Disney wouldn't do it.

that they once did one in 2 weeks.

i am jealous of that girl...

i don't know kristen, a 2 week prep sounds good to me :cool1: . i'd gladly condense all this stress into 2 weeks...then it would be OVER and we wouldn't have to deal with it ever ever again...
