We're going to Disney (YEAH!) the week of August 8th. First time for everyone (me, DH, DS14, and DD7). I hear that both the Wishes and Illuminations displays are wonderful and want to see them both. I understand you can see either by boat.

My question is: If you had to choose one, which one is better to view by "cruise"?

Thanks!

I will be uncovering the answer to this question on my upcoming trip. I booked both cruises.

I do know that the Illuminations cruise was much harder to get. Each time I'd try to get through to book one, I was told they were sold out, and was offered the Wishes cruise instead.

Finally, after trying for seven consecutive days, I finally got an Illuminations cruise.

About two weeks later, I called to see if any Wishes cruises were still available, and I had a choice of days. There must be a lot more Wishes boats going out than Illuminations.

I think that seeing the Epcot Illuminations is better by water because you are up quite close and you can see everything. Whilst with the MK Fireworks you are MILES AWAY its like watching a firework display in the next village from your back yard!!!!! tehe!!! Not that bad, but I think you could save yourself a buck by watching the MK fireworks from the Grand Floridian....you'd get the same effect but without the bobbing of the boat!!

Hope this helps!!! :smooth:
