Wishes music on Polynesian Beach

It's been quite a few years (pre bungalows) since we've watched Wishes from Polynesian and that was our plan in May but coming to accept this might be the least time we see Wishes ever so was curious from those who has watched it from there recently if they;ve made any improvements to the speaker situation over there.

Last time we did it you could only hear the music if you positions yourself in a few places (along the path by a speaker, etc).

Is it still the same way?

It's still very faint, you have to be close to the speaker on the walkway

A MUCH better location to see (and HEAR) Wishes is right next door at the TTC ferry dock ramp.

We just have a you tube video ready and play it... that way you can hear it and be where you prefer to view

can you hear the music in the rooms? we are staying in a lake view in march and was wondering if they played the music in the room like the do in BLT.....

Yes, there's a channel that you can put on the TV in your room that will play the music

When we stayed at the Poly DVC back in September of 2015 there was no music on the tv. Perhaps it's changed since then, but we too used YouTube to hear the music with Wishes.

Well, I Grabbed a 9:20 ADR for Cali Grill so we can always head there for dessert and watch it from the observation deck or head over to the Grand Floridian and watch it from there. I know the music can be heard outside of Narcoosee's but what about other places along the dock and Gasparilla Grill?

The other "consideration" is that currently MK is scheduled to close at 9 with Wishes at 9. Looking at just the last few years I'm expecting a later closing time and Wishes pushed back to 10pm....so then my question becomes if we see the 8pm Spirit of Aloha we don't have any other options for Wishes on that night except for something at Polynesian.

Stayed at PVB in October. Lake view studio 3rd floor. Great view of Wishes. But no audio on any channel. Front desk CM said sometimes it would be there, but generally not. No apparent reason.

Gasparilla & pool area: Yes, but often very low-level.
Boat dock: No audio.
Outside Narcoossee's: Great audio. (But, you must be dining there to view on the patio.)

Even if MK's hours get moved, it is possible that they'd leave Wishes time alone (it does not necessarily "close the park" the way IllumiNations does at Epcot.) Now, with Once Upon a Time, they might run Wishes at 9 and OUaT at 9:45.

It was so low a few days ago. We stayed in Hawaii and thought it would be fun to watch it outside. When we could barely hear it- we headed back to the lounge to watch.

We are staying off property, but have ADR dinner at Kona Grill, does that allow access to Polynesian Beach to see wishes? Could we access beach without ADR?
In anyone's opinion is it worth seeing wishes twice in one week? We'll definitely be in MK with intent to have a good spot for watching/hearing wishes later in week (ADR at CP 1.5 hrs before start of Wishes). I fear my LOs (6,4,4,2) will tune out the 2nd showing if we view once from a distant location.

Anyone can walk out onto the beach area. I can watch Wishes every day
From a distance is very nice- but I much prefer it in MK. It's magical!
