Wishes in December

According the WDW website due to Mvmcp Wishes will be at 6pm before the party starts. My family will be there the week of December 17th. Does anyone know if this is true. We were there for mnsshp and they did not do wishes before the party began for the day guests. I know that it is getting dark earlier now so maybe that is the difference. If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated. We will be going to the park during the day and not staying for the evening party. My youngest is 2 and so far has not been able to stay up late enough for the late wishes. 6pm would be perfect. thanks to all.

My recollection is no fireworks for day guests on nights there is a party.

Yes, that is true. There are only special "Holiday Wishes" for MVMCP for the party goers (is that a word??)

According to the Calendar at the disney website, there are fireworks at 6pm on nights when the park closes for the 7pm xmas party.

I'm hoping this is right because we're planning on watching the fireworks from the beach at Poly at 6 and then eating dinner at Kona Cafe. I had checked the WDW website too before I made ADR's.
