Need help deciding if this is something we should do. Have only done a dessert party at DCL several years ago (which I felt was worth it).

$79 is nothing to sneeze at! It will only be DH and I. We have been to 1 other MVMCP 5 years ago, but missed parade and fireworks. I really want to see both this year, and DH hates crowds. The only review I could find online states the desserts themselves were pretty mediocre. Online it states there is a "reserved area" for viewing parade, but no seating, then you are escorted to Tomorrowland Terrace for dessert party and fireworks viewing.

Hoping someone out there attended in the past few years and can give their review:)

If they do it the same as the Halloween party, the reserved parade viewing is worth it. Then they walk you behind the scenes to Tomorrowland Terrace for the dessert party portion.

Watching this since I'm interested as well. :)

We booked it, because I like the freedom of not having to stake out a spot for parades and fireworks...less for the desserts, although it will be nice to enjoy a coffee and a cupcake and watch some Christmas fireworks! I've really liked the Halloween version in the past, so I jumped on this since there's only two of us going.

@Regan117 Ideally I'd like to wait to show up for parade viewing til 8:15 or so. Is the viewing area large enough that if we show up late we still would have a good spot? TIA and thanks for your initial reply:)

I think so! Last time we did the Halloween one there was lots of room - the parade viewing space wasn't nearly full. We were wandering around and they were handing out bottles of water. Some people showed up just as the parade was starting and were able to stand right next to us against the rope to watch. I don't know if that has changed at all or how many tickets they are selling this time around, but I didn't feel like there was any dire need to be there super early for the parade. Again, that was also the Halloween party but it seems like they do the Halloween and Christmas ones the same.

Sorry OP for hijacking the thread. @Regan117 did you watch the fireworks from the tomorrow land terrace? How's the view?

You're welcome! We are going to this on Nov. 13...I don't think if that's before your date, but if it is I will be sure to report back.

We won't go until Dec 6th so that's AWESOME! I was so excited when I saw reservations for this were open - I went ahead and booked, then was having buyers remorse, but now I'm looking forward to it. We also have a 5:00 ADR booked at BOG, but I'm thinking I would cancel that and just do an earlier QS dinner.

Yes! They walked us from the parade viewing to Tomorrowland Terrace. They actually take you back behind the shops and walk that way so the group doesn't get split up trying to get up Main Street.

It's an off center view but for the convenience I think it's a nice view and a good way to relax.

Thanks for posting this @jillyh :) I also booked this for Dec 8 and keep second guessing myself! We have a 6:20 for BOG and am looking for an earlier opening but might end up just cancelling all together.

We have a 6:05 for BOG but for now we are keeping it. I don't usually eat much of the desserts, so I kind of want to have a nice dinner beforehand. Hopefully we can get in and out quick enough to be in place for the parade.

Thanks for the info, @Regan117 - I booked this as well for 11/29. At MNSSHP last year, we were so crowded, pushed, shoved, even spat at trying to watch the fireworks - I thought this would be the best solution for me and my toddler. Glad to hear we don't need to show up right at 7:30.

Spat at? How magical...jeez. Yes, this will be better for you then.

I was thinking about that since our main goal is so that our 2 year old won't be too impatient while waiting for fireworks and the parade. We may show up earlier at BoG if ever and see. :) thanks again!

Following this also. I think it might be a really nice thing to do (though I'd be the type to show up at 7:30 for the parade, lol). Just worried about what the fireworks view is really like from where it is given the 360 fireworks. The parade viewing area seems great and what a way to feel really special. We are doing Ohana at 3:30 so 5 hours later might be hungry for dessert, lol.

Following as well! I have a 4:00pm Liberty Tree booked, and also think my family and I would be able to enjoy dessert at 8:30pm! My only concern was missing too much party time considering this will be our first "party" and only second time in Disney World! MK around parade time was nuts so the roped off area for the parade and seated area for Wishes is very tempting! I booked the dessert party for each night MVMCP is happening during my December stay in the event things change in the next six months. Luckily this has a cancellation window up to 5-day prior to the reservation date unlike the non-refundable MVMCP tickets (still need to buy those).

I just booked this for mom & I for 12/11. She'll be in a scooter and it's nice not having to deal with the crowds and worry about people standing right in front of her! Expensive though!!! Almost the same price as the MVMCP! So I am really thinking about if it is worth the extra $$$ for this. But while there was still a reservation available I booked it. We can always cancel it up to 5 days before the party and get a refund! So if we change our mind that is good to know!!! We did attend a regular dessert party last year and really enjoyed having a table and not fighting the crowds!!! We could see perfectly from sitting at the table!!
