We saw Wishes from our balcony on the 14th floor of the Contemporary when we visited in October. It is certainly a very good show. We were only able to hear a little of the audio but we had one of the best views you could ask for. And certainly no crowd to deal with. And to top it off we were enjoying some delicious pastries from Norway!!
Have fun!!
We watched it from the California Grill. We weren't even eating there! We just went up right before the show and stood around until it started. They even dim the lights and play the music right in the restaurant. You can also go outside their rooftop patio to watch it. By far the best view for fireworks and great pictures.
Sandy,
I had heard that, too, but when we were there in July (we had coffee and dessert in the CA Grill lounge), we saw lots of folks coming up the elevator and going outside to watch. Maybe they only enforce it at certain times?
When we were there in Nov 1-4, we decided to check out the viewing platform on the 4th floor of the Contemp. This was pretty good, too-- you could even make out Tinkerbell flying.
In October we watched Wishes from the landing on the 5th floor at the CR. There were a lot of folks watching from the 4th floor patio area, but we took the stairs and stood on the landing. We were able to hear the music and didn't have people in front of us.
when we were there anyway. We ate our anniversary dinner at California Grill on Oct. 29 this year. The whole restaurant went out onto the balcony to watch. There was a bitter wind blowing, but it was nice. You can hear the music and Jiminy's voice just perfect through the patio speakers. I kind of felt like the fireworks were almost too far away to totally appreciate, but definitely a memorable experience!
