Wishes FP+ question

We have a Wishes FP for a easy day where we are only spending the evening in the park. Quick question, if we are at the front of the area is there a buffer between us and the people outside the area? In other words, will people in front of the FP area be right up against the fence to where children might have a hard time seeing?

I can't speak about the front of the area as we stood in the back. However, consider the back of the FP area. We leaned up against the back railing while watching Wishes and there was a good 5 feet (or more) in front of us before the next group of people. We had no problem seeing above their heads as they weren't immediately in front of us. As the crowd shifted a bit, there was plenty of space to adjust to the left or right as needed too!

From reports on here, you should stake out a spot at the back of the fireworks area because there is crowding at the front. At the back, you have no one in front of you and actually a better view.

Interesting, thanks for the advice.

We just did this last week. There's two main sections separated by planters. We were on the left side (so we were close to MSEP as it went by and we had a decent, not great view). We were in the front section but with our butts resting against the planters toward the back (if that makes sense). We parked the stroller there with the brakes on and the kids stood on the stroller seats as we held them (for safety) and they had a great view for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes. Some people sat down in front of us, some people were standing up in front, but maybe 10 feet away. It was absolutely perfect. I do think that the back section seemed more crowded and more people seemed to be sitting rather than standing. And they did an AWESOME job of patrolling the rope on the sidewalk side (shout out to that CM with a hard job!) to keep people from getting in without a fastpass.

There are no FP during the Christmas (or Halloween) party.

I went to the 9/18 Halloween party and was able to watch wishes from the FP area (closest to Casey's). I got there less than an hour before the Hallowishes and was able to get an uncrowded spot at the front of area. There really weren't that many people in the area.

We were at the front of Wishes FP+ area in the right section. There is a ledge on the inside of the railing. We got there early & sat on the ledge because we had our mother's with us, who couldn't sit on the ground. DD sat on the ledge with us. When Wishes started, others came forward and stood behind us, but we were not "squished" and had no problem with the view.

So the FP+ area is general availability then during the parties? Cool.

It was at the Halloween party I went to. It was a nice surprise. We'd done the FP+ for wishes a few nights before so we knew it would be a good view.

The area wasn't very crowded the night of the Halloween party.

I'm going to the Christmas Party on a Sunday night (12/13) so I'm hoping it wont be too crowded.
