Just wondering what the best place to watch the MK fireworks are? (or people's favorite place)

I know getting a seat early above the Main Street train station is great, but we're travelling with an autistic 6 year old this time, so don't think he'd have the patience to wait there.

thanks!

While the upper level of the Train Station is GREAT for parade viewing, it is far less good for Wishes, and really poor for trying to watch the spectacular new show that is actually projected on the front of the Castle, "Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.
Many consider CtM to be even more of a must-see than Wishes or MSEP.

Below is a rough estimate of the Fireworks viewing spots
based on other posters' info on the boards and personal experience.

This is a new version of this map that features a representation of the new hub and its FP+ Wishes viewing areas.
At this point, I'm not sure how the new "outer sidewalks" will be allowed or blocked for fireworks viewers.

As the actual Hub construction goes along, I'll revamp the shaded areas.

If you don't want to watch from the hub (I'm not sure how your son handles crowds, and there is still some decent waiting in the hub) watching from Gaston's Tavern area is really cool. On one side is the castle with the low fireworks, and on the other will be the high ones. The music is still piped through, there is rarely more than 20 people, and there are stools that you can usually grab beforehand to sit. This way you can hang out in NFL up until the start of the show and not have to wait in crowds

Reserve Wishes Dessert Party. It's a Disney event so you will have to pay for the experience. It has great seats.

Watching from behind the castle or anywhere that you can't see the full front castle facade will not allow seeing Celebrate the Magic.

If you have not seen it, you can't imagine what a unique and amazing experience it is.

Just to add to this and my previous recommendation - most nights (even in the slower season) CTM is presented twice, once before and once after. My usual plan of action if I don't feel like dealing with crowds that night is (with summer times) to watch Wishes from behind the castle (10pm), move to the front to watch CTM (10:35), and then find a spot in Liberty Square to watch MSEP (11:10ish). Most people will be leaving the park during this time so you don't have to deal with any rush of people, and you can always find a great view of the show and parade without people obstructions

So is it worth getting a FP for this?

IMO, only if you are going to be there just for the evening/have a specific plan in mind (like staking out a semi-clear spot for a tripod)

You still have slightly obstructed views, children on shoulders, and crowds just like outside the FP area, but with it you are unable to get more than 3 during the day thus dramatically increasing potential time spent in ride lines

We had a FP for MSEP so we just slipped up next to the flagpole after the parade. I took my kiddo over to meet Mickey and came out just in time to watch the Celebrate the Magic show and fireworks. I am sure it wasn't the best spot, but we were close enough to the exit to not get super stuck with our stroller and we were able to let DS stand (with our support of course) on the rail around the flagpole which helped him see well without blocking others.
