Hi all,

we are doing a spur of the moment trip in a little over a week... no parks, just the resorts so I called to check if by some miracle there was an illuminations cruise...which of course there wasn't but there was the wishes cruise. We booked it, leaving from the Polynesian on the night we arrive.

I just was wondering what it was like.... is it worth doing? Is it as good as Illuminations? any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jamie:wave:

We did the very last night Fantasy in the Sky fireworks cruise from the Grand Floridian in Oct 2003. There were 8 of us total (5 adults & 3 kids). There was a lot more sightseeing to do on that one then on the Illuminations cruise we did previously. They took us around to all of the lagoon resorts and past WL. It was a lot of fun (I just wish they could figure out a way to pipe the music into the boats).

Fantasy in the Sky? Which fireworks show is this? MGM?

How many specialty cruises are there? Is wishes MK, Illuminations EPCOT?

Fantasy in the Sky was the fireworks show at MK which was replaced with Wishes in Oct 2003. I believe there are only 2 "specialty cruises", Wishes @ MK and Illuminations @ Epcot.
They both cost the same.

Illuminations cruise is good because you are up close to the action (on the flip side, if you have small children they may be afraid of the fireworks and the smoke that comes your way). Plus, the other cruise boats are literally right next to you when you park for the show.

For the MK cruise, there was no one around us and was very tranquil out on the lagoon.
