Hi,

We're booked for the Wishes fireworks cruise on July 10. I have a question that's strange. Even though its July (and hot, hot, hot) being on the lagoon at night will we need sweaters. DH thinks I'm nuts to even ask that but I know at night the water breeze might be a little chilly and I don't want to hear three kids complaining that they are cold. ANyone help?

If it is cold, which I don't think it would be, they usually have blankets on the boat. We went in february and it was freezing (I think it was warmer home in boston) the night that we went and our captain supplied us with plenty of blankets!!

where can you book the wishes fireworks cruise? need information about this thanks.

We were just there last week and used the boats often from WL to go to MK and contemporary and Ft Wilderness. We were never cold on the boats, even at night when it was raining. Have fun!!!!!

you have to call 407-wdw-play to arrange. They can pick you up at Grand Floridian, Wild. Lodge, Contemp...not sure if anywhere else. We were picked up at Contemp. :mickeybar

To book the cruise I called the number that was posted above. I followed all the directions in the sticky at the top of this forum for the Illuminations cruise, but I booked Wishes instead. We had a great time, I had made it a birthday cruise for DS's who were turning 13, so we got a very large bowl filled with snack bags, a cooler filled with water and soda and a birthday cake which was really delicious! I would bring sweatshirts or sweaters. We went in Feb. and there were blankets on board, but it can't hurt to be prepared. For the Wishes viewing our boat was stopped next to the pirate cruise and before the fireworks started we were at "war" with them, we couldn't stop laughing, it was a lot of fun.

We did Wishes Cruise last Saturday and were perfectly comfortable in t-shirts - shared the cruise with fellow DISers and they were in short sleeves also. It was the last day of the tropical storm, so it hadn't been as hot as it became on Sunday and Monday, but I can't imagine needing a sweatshirt in July - if it is cool on the water I think it will just feel good to cool off ! We did, however, take along our little disposable parkas - if it had gotten drizzly or cool, we would have just slipped them on. The Wishes cruise was lots of fun - I just wish they had the music piped into the boats - we really couldn't hear it at all - we were glad that we had seen it so many times in the park, so we knew what was going on - beautiful perspective for the fireworks! :smooth:

Do you mind me asking what kind of cake you had. Did you get to choose your type of cake and filling? What was it decorated like?

I'm going to call on Sunday and try to book this for my son's birthday & I was wondering if you got to choose the type of cake.

Thanks!
:flower: ,
Katie
