Wishes fireworks Birthday Cruise???

I booked a Wishes birthday cruise for my son on Sept. 24th departing from the Polynesian and I've got some conflicting answers from the CM's, so I thought maybe I can get some clarification from anyone who's done this.

Are there blankets onboard?? I know September can be warm, but the evenings can get chilly. One CM said yes and another told me only certain boats have them??

Is the music piped in?? One CM told me that all the boats have been updated to pipe in the music, but another told me know, but I'll be able to hear the music .

Can I choose the type of cake?? One CM told me that someone would call me before my trip to choose the type of cake & filling. Another told me I only had a choice of choc. cake or white cake w/either choc. or vanilla frosting & no filling. But I've trip reports were people said they had rasberry or other types of fillings. For the extra cost, I would like to have my choice of cake.

Can anyone clarify what's included for me. It's not a big deal, but I would like to be prepared before we arrive to avoid any disappoints or hassles.

im not sure on the mk firework cruise but on the illuminations cruise there was blankets on board & the music could be heard but was not piped in. it was a fabolous experience, have fun!

We had blankets (but it was Feb), and our music was piped in for my son's Wishes birthday cruise, but I can't speak for all boats.

There were blankets on the boat in May also. The music was piped in through the radio. We could hear it just fine. As far as the cake goes, we joined another DIS board family and they made the arrangements for the cake - it was yellow with chocolate frosting (very good too!). There was a nice assortment of drinks (water, soda, etc.), plates, and napkins. The boat was decorated with balloons and it looked very festive. Hope you have a wonderful time on your cruise!!

I'll bring sweatshirts just in case.

And hopefully we can hear the music.

As far as the cake goes, my son should be happy with anything, but if they do call to arrange a specific kind, that'll make it better.

It's a surprise for my son and I'm really looking forward to it!!!

Now, I just have to pray no hurricanes show up during our stay!!!
