we just felt that the quality and variety of desserts wasn't really worth the money. It was a lot of things in tiny sizes but not much in the way of cakes or pastries. There were some brownies and hard chocolate chip cookies.
We also had gone with 2 people who can't have gluten and we called ahead of time and were assured that there would be plenty for them to eat on the buffet. When we arrived we were informed that they had to prepare a plate for them and bring it out. While we are used to needing this kind of special treatment it was a little annoying because it took away the excitement and fun of actually checking out the buffet. It also took about a half hour for them to bring it out and once you turn your back on your table to watch the fireworks your table is cleared so all of the leftovers were gone.
We also still had to stand behind people at the railing because there were so many people at the party so our view was still somewhat obstructed.
All in all we just felt like it was a sort of thrown together way of trying to get more money.
Here's what you get at the Fantasmic Dessert Party in Disneyland. Oh yeah, and out there you pay $59 and your box of desserts is waiting for you on a wooden folding chair.

It consisted of three different kinds of gluten free cakes, 2 different flavors of sorbet, gluten free chocolate chip cookies, and berries. Most people were actually a little jealous because they had cake but ultimately you could collect most of this stuff from around the park at a fraction of the cost. And you don't actually get to partake in the buffet as they have to bring it to you.
