What the party like? Are there a lot of people? What is offered for food? And lastly, is it worth it?

A coworker did this last July with her family. She said it is very pricey but well worth it! The desserts were outstanding and she would do it again!!! Hope this helps:)

Went there in December. The area is not that big, so there are not a lot of people. The food was very good. Chocolate covered strawberries, Ice cream with toppings, Creme Brulee, assorted cookies, assorted mousses <--that does not look like I spelled it correctly, mini cheesecakes, some fruit, hot chocolate, coffee, milk, juice drinks, no pop. There is a Youtube video seach wishes desert party. Go hungry. The food is very good, but very rich. The location is nice. Tinker Belle flies right at you. You have to stand by the railing about 10 mins before wishes to see the fireworks well. I would say it was nice for one time, but would not do it again.

yes,we have done it twice. It is great from a quality perspective but the ability to enjoy Wishes without elbows in your side is wonderful. BTW we've had teeenagers and elders included and they all like it.

We went in November so that my MIL wouldn't have to stand for very long. I thought it was well worth the money spent. We were not on the DP and we are not normally big dessert eaters so this was a nice treat. We did go hungry and basically counted it as dinner! hahaha! The view was nice too. I have seen Wishes over 10 times and the view is different than watching straight on but still very good.

On a past trip we had it booked but we were also on the dining plan so we had been eating desserts for the week. We ended up canceling the dessert party at the last possible cancellation deadline because we were so desserted out. For that time it was the best decision.

I would definitely do it again when we are not on the dining plan.

My DH, DS (1.5 at the time) and I went last year. We really enjoyed it and thought it was worth the money! My son is very fond of the fireworks, but gets upset when he can not see them. We had a great viewing spot of the castle from the Tomorrowland Terrace with nobody blocking our view! It was great! pixiedust: The deserts were a nice touch and very yummy!

They serve a number of different kinds of desserts and some drinks in a buffet type setting. You have a good view of the fireworks and don't have to fight a crowd, so that's nice. If you have money to blow it is a good experience, but it is very pricey for some desserts and a good setting, and if money was tight I wouldn't particularly worry about missing this (I mean, how many desserts are you really going to eat?). Crowds aren't bad - they take limited reservations and you are assigned a table. Some people stand at the railing but they don't really obstruct your view if you decide to stay at your table. There are pictures around here somewhere of the desserts.

I will say it isn't really any more outrageously expensive than anything else at Disney.

Worth it? No. Also, you have a much better view of the fireworks in other places because you are sort of to the side and hard to see the high and side ones.

It depends how much you eat. Can you eat $25 worth of dessert in about an hour? I can with my eyes closed and hands tied behind my back, so for me it's worth it. The desserts are kind of meh, but they're not bad. Also, imo, the price is worth the seating alone so you don't have to fight the mass of humanity on Main St.

We've done it twice and I definitely think it's worth it. Heck, I'd pay $25 just to watch the fireworks without being squished in with 5000 of my closest friends.

We were standing at the railing waiting for Wishes to start and DD looks across to Main St and said, "Mommy, look at all those people!" I was very happy not to be part of the sea of people on Main St. that night.

I think the desserts are very good. There was a nice variety, too. There was ice cream and toppings in Nov - they didn't have that in April. Also, DD has food allergies and they were great with that too. The manager brought her her very own "platter" of desserts. There was no way she could finish it - it was huge!

Everyone says it's nice to watch the Fireworks without being squished. But I've read that all the tables up front are for a small group.

We are going to do it and there are 5 of us so I imagine are table will be in the back. :( What's it like for those people?

I've heard you can stand by the ledge but is it a crowd of people standing there? Will we be blocking other's views? Can we scootch our chairs over?

I've done this twice. I'd say it's worth it for adults, but not so much for younger kids. They just don't eat enough to justify the cost, in my experience. There are also no sodas available at the dessert party, which is a minus for me.

The first time I went, my DW and I were seated at a table directly behind a support pillar, with no view of anything. We were not allowed to move our chairs, but were told by the CMs that the expectation was for everyone to get up and stand at the railing for the fireworks. Some tables had angles that were better for seeing the fireworks even with people up at the railing, but the seating is all assigned, so it's random chance where your seats end up being.

Yes, your table will probably be in the back. You cannot move your chairs over. However, there is plenty of room to see. I was sitting in a chair in the first row, party of 2, and my view wasn't blocked by people standing at the ledge. Lots of other people were sitting in the back and they didn't seem to complain.

We had a party of 4 and a table nearest the rail/front.

Okay great. I'll report back how it was since it's in just over a week. I agree this seems pricey for what it is. I decided to go ahead and pay it because it's my sons 6th birthday so it's part of his surprise celebration and I'm sure we'll like it.

I'm still debating doing this. My dear bf refuses to wait 2 hours just to get a good spot for wishes/parades. I end up missing everything. It almost seems like the money spent would be worth it. Thanks for the tips!

My son turns 15 during our upcoming trip and I was thinking of this...we did the "Fantasmic" Specialty viewing at Disneyland this summer and that was awesome, but the cast members really wait on you hand and foot and that made my 18 year old daughter uncomfortable...she is so down to earth, and the cast members were soooooooo awesome, this kid in front of us in the open to the public area had a balloon tied to his stroller and the cm's asked the people to tie it lower because it blocked our view (which it didn't), so that made my daughter uncomfortable...she never likes to feel special or better than anyone else.

They gave you a dessert box and then brought you coffee, soda, tea, hot chocolate or mochas and it was nice....still not sure if I should do this one, even though it is WAY cheaper than the Fantasmic viewing at DL! I think it would be special for my son, who is a huge Disney fan. Just worried my daughter would feel elitist again.
