Can you view the parade from this location? What time do you get it? Do they refill the foods?

You can see the parade at a distance. Floats only, you won't be able to see any of the walking characters.

The dessert party starts 1 hour before the Wishes fireworks. Often, so does the parade. You really cannot see the parade from the Tomorrowland Terrace (too far away AND tons of people standing on Main Street). If there is not a second parade after the fireworks or if you cannot come another night, and if the parade is a must-do, then I would not book the Dessert Party.

The desserts continue to be refilled at least until the fireworks start. Reviews are mixed as to how much they refill once Wishes is happening. You can remain at the party and go get more goodies for at least 10 minutes or so after Wishes ends, which is great to allow some of the crowds to clear away. Obviously the CMs are starting to clear away plates etc during Wishes but if you tell them you want to keep the plates/glasses on your table they are happy to do so.

There have been multiple threads with photos or links to reviews with photos of the various dessert offerings on the buffet.

Thanks for the info! I'll be there in 5 days and we've got the dessert party booked for our last night at the parks. I can't wait! :yay:

Once you get your band you can come and go if you want. Your table is saved. The pull food a few mins before wishes if i recall.

The view of the parade is partially blocked. You will only see the floats.
The food was Constantly refilled when we were there in Dec. Nice dessert options.
The time varies based on the timing for wishes. I think it opens about an hour prior to the fireworks.

When we were there in June of 2010, another family moved into our table as we stood at the rail to watch fireworks. I am not sure where they came from since all the tables are reserved, unless for some reason they allowed additional walk- ins later after the initial seating. It was kind of annoying because our name nice and clear on a place card was sitting on the table. Fortunately we were full and didn't leave our belongings there.

No you cannot see the parade

I thing we got in at 8:30

No we didnt see them refilling the food but that could be because they had so much of it and there were maybe 20 people at the party...could be because it was a MVMCP night and not alot of people wanted to do both parties?

I have a question - is the Terrace area air conditioned?? And what happens if someone can not attend due to illness or another last minute reason - since we prepaid, will we be able to get a refund?

The terrace isn't air conditioned, you are outside (think of it as being on a nice roof with an overhang). I think if you cancel within 48 hours, you can get your money back. 1-407-WDW-DINE would be able to help you with that. You will not get a good view of the parade, you are too far away.

We attended the Dessert Buffet last week and I'm here to tell you that it was one of my most favorite things of our whole trip. Wishes was at 10:00 that night, so they let us in around 9:00. You can see the parade, but as others said, it's a partial view since there are so many people lining the street. As for the desserts, there was plenty of it and it was refilled often. They have also added ice cream as an option, although I was so full from chocolate covered strawberries that I didn't even venture over to the ice cream table. We left our table a few times prior to the fireworks starting to get drinks and take pictures, and no one cleared our table. When the fireworks begin, everyone stands at the rail. There is ample room for everyone, so no one was squished. Tinkerbell flies right over your head. It's really spectacular. After the fireworks were over, we sat back down and finished up, and only then did someone come by and ask if we were finished. We left and went on the People Mover and watched the sea of humanity leaving the park. It was a great night!!

No air conditioning. It's outdoors.

Cancellation is 48 hours. You would have to ask if they will give a refund for a last minute cancellation but they are within their rights to say "no." You MAY get someone who will give you a break for an illness or something like that but if it's just that someone doesn't want to come, I think you pay unless you cancel in time.
