Has anyone been able to book the wishes dessert party for just two people? mid September? Trying to book this is like pulling teeth. If 8 people want to go seems to be a sure win but for two is appears a resounding hell no. If anyone on here is booking 21st September and manages to get one please do post on here so I can try too.

We have never tried to get any reservations before ( happy to just go with wherever has openings on the night) but it appears the one time we do its going to end its tears. We want this night only as we get married at 5pm that day and wanted to do something a bit special to finish the night.
:charac2:pixiedust::thanks:

I have checked for a few nights in Sept as well. I think that I remember reading that at least at the current party they only have one or 2 tables for 2. I finally got an ADR for our last couples trip 2 years ago. DH loved it.

It seems that way which is a shame as I'm sure it's more of an adults choice than say BOG. I know the nights it's on are limited due to the Halloween parties too in late September/ October

I've done 5 parties. Always only found the late in the game ressies for 3 people, no idea why.
Sometimes Disney will adjust them down and refund you the extra person fee. One time I just ate the cost. Not sure if that has changed with the "new" party.

Search for 3 and list the third person as a child under age 3 so no additional charge? ;) I had some issues booking all the popular restaurants when it was just my DS and I in November.

Been going to wishes DP last three trips. Always got a table for two up front. Keep sniping. You will get one. Ours this year is September 7th. Granted I got it the day the new rezzies opened up.

To be fair I'm trying any size under 4 in the hopes of just getting in and amending it later.
But love the tip for the invisible kids, I will be doing that if I get the opportunity ! :thanks::stitch2:

I've been trying since day 180 too I assume it's just my bad luck someone got the ressie for two

Keep in mind that the Dessert Party requires advanced payment. I'm not sure you can cancel it partially. Someone here knows (smart group).

I had trouble booking the day my ressies opened with a "glitch" in the page...we had trouble with Boma, Tusker, and Wishes that day. When I called I was able to book for the night I wanted without a problem. A few years back we had a horrible time trying for a table for 2 at the Terrace party, but one opened up a couple of weeks before we went. The table was near the entrance and it seemed like it was just added in last minute, but I do seem to recall we were the only 2 top.

tried this morning at my 180 day mark. Nothing for 2, even now, 3 or 4 seems available. They need to book it by capacity and apparently change the seating arrangements. I don't mind sitting with another couple, but I'm not reserving 4 when I only have 2! They can figure out the seating arrangements later!

I totally agree. I would share no problem because your all squeezing in anyway to enjoy the food and fireworks.
At the end of the day if 4 couples are trying to go it's the same money as a table of 8, defies logic. I'll keep you posted if I get one down the line so that you can try for your date.

I'm hoping they will release some more smaller tables as time goes on.:tink:

I just went back and was able to do a reservation for 2 for my date! I've done the Tomorrowland Terrace party, but obviously not this one yet. I know it's more expensive and there are slightly more food options, but the main appeal for me is to still get a view of the castle and show without an inconsiderate person blocking my view on Main Street. I know there is standing at the dessert party, but generally not like on Main Street!

Which date did you book? Still nothing for sept 21st :worried:

Sadly still nothing for September 21st
Too late to change the date of my wedding for a reservation ! :jester:

I would think with the inflated price they would make more tables for two. I would be more likely to do this just DH and I over taking the whole family. As a matter of fact, we were planning to book it for October on our "Just the Two of us" trip. I hope we can get it, but it won't make or break our fun regardless. :)

I only found a table for 3 for the night I wanted in May. I went ahead and booked it then called Disney dining and they changed my 3 to table for 2 and refunded me the amount for 1 person. We were totally going to just pay for 3 but it worked out with a simple phone call! (And awhile to wait listening to that static-filled music. What's up with that?)

Yes I agree after the 3rd loop of the same Disney tunes it gets a little irritating ( fun first time round of course!)
I I'm hoping to do the same reserve what I can justify paying if I can't amend (4max) then call after a few weeks and lower it to 2 with a call....anything requiring a bit of juggling is better than nothing :)
