Wishes Dessert Party Not Made For Two?

Maybe they are making changes again. They were not available at 180 days out a few months ago, because they were tweaking things. Such as price and offerings. Sure hope they are not looking to raise the price again. lol

I finally got my booking about 160 days out. The next month is highlighted when the 180 day mark comes round for the first day of the next month. Then as each week passes days of availability will come on. In November you may have a busy shedule because of thanksgiving or any mickey Halloween parties but the Callander will only show dates it "could" be available.

Tables for two are very limited so I would recommend searching for 3.

I too chose to book online and the app allowed me to just create an infant profile to allocate the seat to without the need for any ticket info. (I don't have kids just imaginary booking helpers) I already had my two paying adults listed ticket only, not staying on site.

However you can book it as three then ring up and cancel it down to two (some others done it without a problem)

Glad my little "book an infant" trick is working for so many. It didn't work for me this time, LOL! I was on the fence about paying $50/person anyway so I guess we won't be doing it again for my birthday, a "if it was meant to be" moment if ever there was one.

I dunno, I just missed out, I guess and it is booked. On my 180+10, the main site wouldn't recognize my +10 no matter what I tried while the app did recognize my +10 but wouldn't let me book the new dessert party. I had a busy day and couldn't stay on hold on the phone, the next day it was booked. Our trip is shorter than usual and my birthday is the 2nd day in so...just didn't come together partly due to technology and partly my own fault.

Maybe you should try again, Mine was Deffo a cancelation slot probably due to the higher price!

I will keep trying when I am in the mood (which will become more frequent as the trip gets closer...I tend to fall into "MUST DO EVERYTHING!!!!!" panic that replaces the sanguine mood of 6 months earlier. thanks for the encouragement!

I always thought if you modified a dining reservation, even if you called the dining phone number, the CM would cancel your original ressie and then make a new one??? Anyway, I just did this for the dessert party - booked for a party of 3 with one infant online. Based on this thread, I will call and cancel the infant - anyone have an idea the best time of day to call to not have a long wait?

I have called last year and had one person taken off our reservation without them canceling the reservation. Because I remember it was a hard to get reservation
(not a dessert party). I had added one to book it because there were no openings for the number we had. I haven't done it with Wishes Dessert Party yet. I do have a reservation for it with an infant but havent called yet. Just tell them you want to keep the reservation but take one person off.

I've been very lucky and got the other ADRs that I want though, so I'll keep trying and if it doesn't happen I can't really complain! We will still see Wishes from somewhere!

I keep hoping to find a opening for 3 in September. With the FD I'm worried none will open up.

I was able to get 2 a month ago and we go in the middle of August. I need to cancel one, we cant decide which night to go. So there is still hope just keep checking over and over. Someone said the best time to look is after 11:00pm. I have gotten a few hard to get ones after 11:00pm one was BOG dinner at 6:40. I called on Saturday and was able to cancel the "child" that was on the reservation, so now it's just the two of us. Absolutely no problem. Thanks for the tip of getting a reservation for three to begin with!

Same here , invisible child cancelled (UK Disney reservations line) without any problems.
Reservation lady said its only increasing numbers that are the problem never the reducing

Thanks to a third party service I was able to get the Wishes for my family in September! It took about 5 weeks before there was an opening but when I got the text alert I jumped on it immediately!
