If you check the dining reservations area of the WDW website they now have details on the two different Wishes dessert parties beginning October 1. They're split into:

"Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace" $79

and

"Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing" $59
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/d...d-terrace-fireworks-dessert-party-plaza-view/

The difference being the Tomorrowland Terrace one has seating at the Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant for the fireworks like the current version, while for the Plaza Gardens version you eat desserts at Tomorrowland Terrace then, "as showtime nears, Cast Members will escort you to a prime location in the Plaza Garden for priority viewing of the Wishes nighttime spectacular."

The Plaza Gardens version is bookable online for non-party dates October 1 through December 17, so now's your chance to book that if you want it. The link on the website to the Tomorrowland Terrace version is messed up (I know you're shocked) so that it's unbookable online, but I called in and they booked it for me. If they say it's not available hang up and call back in...the first person I got didn't know what they were doing and said neither version was available December 7, even though Plaza Gardens was showing availablity online. I just called back and got another person and she booked it for me with no fuss.

Wow. The holiday wishes with parade viewing not as bad of a deal in comparison anymore.

I spoke to two different agents today and neither one was able to book this for me. First one told me that all reservations were booked and to keep checking, second said it wasn't available yet. The plaza garden one shows as bookable online but when I go to complete the booking I get an error message.

Wow, if I'm understanding this correctly, the Wishes Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace at $79 is the same Wishes Dessert Party that use to be $25 just less than two years ago and the former FP+ area and once free to watch Wishes is now $59. For me, not a chance. I guess there must have been plenty of Disney fans sniffing a whole lot of Pixie dust with Disney increasing the cost of this party even more. It's about as ridiculous as the NBA free agent salaries for mid-level players. :scared1: (Just my opinion. For those who think it's an incredible deal and would gladly pay even more, spend away. I"m not trying to blast or offend).

I agree! Two vacations ago we paid the $25 for the four of us and thought it was a treat. Last trip, we took 9 of us at $25 and everyone thought it was "okay" for a variety of reasons. We determined that would be our last time to pay for the dessert party. When I saw the price hike...I just laughed. If I was done paying $25 per person to see it....

Keep trying, the Tomorrowland Terrace party was definitely bookable over the phone yesterday and is showing in MDE for me (see attached pic). I can't confirm the Plaza version, though. I think some of the operators maybe don't understand the new parties for some reason.

I'm not saying it's a good deal at all, but in the scheme of my overall vacation cost (12 nights at POR rack rate, flying from across the country) $158 is not a dealbreaker for something that takes away a lot of stress for me. I get stressed out over uncertainty and my wife is 4'11" so getting her a view of the fireworks and projection show is not the easiest thing in the world...even if you show up way early and get a great spot, somebody can try wedge in front of you, or the view looks great but as soon as the show starts up go the shoulder kids! Even with the Plaza Gardens view, you aren't guaranteed "front row" of the area and even behind one person the risk of my wife not being able to see is there. I'm willing to overpay to be guaranteed a view that is not behind people, even if it's off to the side a bit, just to have one less thing to worry about during the trip.

Thanks for this! I am a first-timer and I am happy to pay in money rather than stress to see the fireworks! The online reservations system isn't working (tries to charge $0 and then gives an error for the plaza party, won't show dates to the terrace party) so it looks like if you want it and don't have a TA, spending some time on hold is the only option right now.

I was able to book the regular dessert party for November. OP thank you so much for the info! I've been stalking the website for about 2 months. I wouldn't have known that I could call and book it if it wasn't for you. Thank you!!!!

So basically a savings of $20 to walk from Tomorrowland Terrace to The Plaza after your dessert? Or am I missing something there? Also, does anyone know if there is an annual passholder discount for this?

I guess you could look at this two ways; the positive thought is it's a savings of $20 from the $79 price from the Tomorrowland Terrace (which recently was $25) and the negative thought, or I should rephrase that, the realistic thought is that it's a $59 price increase from what it was just a few weeks ago (free with park admission). :goodvibes... With Disney's shockingly unbelievable increases on this event in less than a years time, I hate to think how much this is going to cost in the next 12 months. :scared1: At this current rate this event's price will be upwards of $240. :confused3

As for discounts; there are no discounts for annual pass holders, TiW or DVC members.

I have reservations for Wishes fireworks with Plaza viewing. Spent my afternoon on various phone calls with different CM who have no clue what they are talking about. I was quick to tell them that the Wishes dessert is changing as of Oct 1. I want to know the difference between the two parties and why would one cost 20 more pp. This is what I am getting. The dessert party is standing. as it comes close to viewing the wishes-- the people who paid 20 more will be escorted to the patio for seating at tables for 4 The people who have the garden will be escorted to the garden for their viewing.

The $20 price difference is for seating at a table versus standing in the plaza area.

How many people will be at this dessert party to put some of us in the plaza? will not be crowded. could we sit on the ground? is the dessert party standing
