New here. What's "top"?
You are mentioning being able to get a "2-top". I'm guessing it's a reservation for two people, but what does it stand for, exactly?

If I call to add another person to my reservation will I lose my supposed "good table"? Like, will they cancel my previous reservation that I made right when they opened and create a whole new reservation, or will they just add a person to my existing reservation?

2-top table. It comes from the food service industry terminology; employees tend to refer to their tables as 2-top, 4-top, etc. to refer to the size of the table rather than the number of guests. Ex: a 4-top might only have 3 guests.

We were able to book a party of 5 with no problem so it confuses me why an even party can't make a reservation.

SJS or anyone, Do you know if I cancel the 3rd person on my ressie will they move my seat? Will they switch me to a diff table? Will they make me re-reserve my seat after canceling the original ressie? I have no problem cancelling the 3rd person, but I would hope to keep my seat and ressie as is.

I honestly have no idea, hopefully maybe someone who has gone thru the process will reply.

Seems to me they would just modify the existing ADR to reflect party of 2 rather than 3 since they can not book a new ADR as there is no availability for a
Party of 2.

Yeah, I don't know about Wishes, but I just booked a couple other ADRs for three and then dropped our imaginary third and it still says "reservations for 3" but only shows our two names on the reservation.

We had to cancel once from 4 down to 3 bc my husband ended up not being able to join us and we were still in the front row. The difference with your situation is that would mean they could change your table size and perhaps it would change your good location?

Tried to make reservations for the Desert Party yesterday for a party of 5 on September 13 or 16. My travel agent was supposed to make them for me and had a note to do so when September opened up. Guess what, she forgot, and now there is no availability! If anyone has reservations for either of these two days and decides to cancel them PLEASE, PLEASE let me know! I want to make this trip special for my boys! Its their first time at Disney and its my 4 year old birthday!

Hope you get this in time but I just checked and there was a time for the 16th. Hope you are able to find reservations sorry to hear about your travel agent.

That's a bummer It just opened yesterday! That was quick! Hopefully it'll work out.

Edit: Just pulled up a table for five still available Sept 16. Looks like there's no party scheduled for the 13. Good Luck

There definetely is availability on the 16th. Just Book it online or call.
There is no party on 13th because of MNSSHP !

Definately book it yourself, I used A TA for the first time ever this trip but made all my ADRs myself, and will be making one for the Dessert Party when Nov opens up
