Hi, everyone!

We have a Wishes fireworks cruise booked (yay!) but the CM told me that there is no music on the boat we got. Has anyone taken a cruise without the music? Can you still hear it? Does it ruin the trip?

And also, if you've been on one of these, exactly what sort of snacks do they have? I mean, do they toss a bag of pretzels to you like on an airplane, or is it nice? Any pictures?

I love this board - there's just so much knowledge out there!

I'll try to help. We went on the Wishes cruise in May. If you want snack and beverages you must pay. And I mean a lot! So we decided not too. Then others on this board there were some people who said they were allowed to take their own snack/beverages on the boat with them. So we did. And they were fine with it. Our driver parked us right next to a boat that had the music piped in so we could hear everything (don't remember the name of the boat but it was a big one). The boat we took was just a smaller one and had just our family. Hope I helped a little! :)

We also did the cruise in May, and had one of the smaller pontoon boats with just our group, but the music was piped in. From what I've heard, they were working on getting it to all of the boats, you may be in luck by the time your cruise comes around! Also, if it's not, I wouldn't worry about it, we've done this 3 times and could hear every time, and also we were at the WL, and could hear the music from our room at night. It's loud! As far as the snacks go, they've recently changed. Back in May, you could just book the cruise with driver. That is no longer an option. The price has increased and it automatically includes snacks and drinks, though I don't know what it consists of. Maybe someone who has done this more recently than May could help out with that?

Yup, they did tell me that snacks and soda and water were included. I don't know how much it used to cost, but the 8 person boat we booked was about $190.

Any more recent info and/or personal experiences would be great, and I'd love to see some photos!

Back in May it was around $120+ tax....I don't have any photos though. :guilty:

They've actually changed the Cruise prices and structuring, effective 10/1.

Unfortunately, there are no longer any $120 cruises. :guilty:

The BASIC cruise is an 8 person boat and includes boat, driver, water, soda, and snacks. No audio. You can add decorations for an additional fee. $187 + tax.

The PREMIUM cruise is a 10 person boat and includes boat, driver, water, soda, and snacks, AND an audio fee. Again, you can add decorations for an additional fee. $234 + tax.

AND they are very strict about the number of people. You can no longer take 12 if you have small children.

Here is the info for the Wishes Cruise on Deb Will's site:

http://www.allearsnet.com/btp/illum.htm

There are two kinds of boats. The smaller one doesn't have the music, the larger one does. Other than the size of the boat, that is the only difference.
Both get the same snack. The larger boat is called Pontoon Premium.

The prices went up dramatically. Smaller boat $187.79 plus tax. Larger boat $234.74 plus tax.

You may not bring your own anything. You may order more food/beverage from Disney Private Dining(not sure if this is only from Yacht club or from the other hotels).

I have the Pontoon Premium booked a night in Dec. for Wishes. I sure hope it is worth it. :)
