Hi Everyone:goodvibes

Was just wondering if anyone knows the exact cost of a Wishes Cruise on the Grand 1 ??? I ve been trying to locate the pricing for it but keep coming across different pricing depending on what site i search:confused3

If anyone knows id really appreciate the help with this question:)

Thankyou:cheer2:

"As for firework cruises, these are not typically done on the day of a wedding but more so for smaller groups or for Rehearsal Party option. We have pontoon style boats that can hold 8 to 10 people and go out on the Seven's Seas Lagoon doing the Magic Kingdom Fireworks. If you would be interested in Food and beverage elements that would be provided by the Private Dining area of the Grand Floridian. You would roughly be looking at about $310.00+ tax per boat with a driver. The price is without food."

This is what Heidi emailed me. Hope it helps.

I believe the Grand 1 cost is approx. $450.00 . we used a pontoon last july with cake and decorations(extra ) and it came roughly $280.00

We have hired the Grand 1 for after our wedding dinner. It is $450 + Tax + Gratuity. Decoration on the boat starts at $50 and that, along with any food and drink we might want on board is booked through Private Dining at The GF.

I think i'm looking foward to this part of the day more than anything else!! Only 33 more sleepies left to go!! :goodvibes

Geeeeess:scared1: i did nt realise the Grand 1 would cost so much more than a standard pontoon boat:rolleyes: . Can i ask was the $280 you paid inc your cake & decorations? If it was can you remember how much hiring the Pontoon boat on its own came to??
Sorry to be cheeky ;) but do you have any pics from when you went out on the boat that you d mind me seeing:goodvibes

we used the boat for our anniversary . I think the boat itself was $225.00 the decorations were extra something like $25.00. the decorations were approx 8-10 balloons attached to boat and happy anniversary banner. We did not have the wishes music added( which would have been about $25.00 more) but we could hear fine and there were a lot of other boats out that night. The cake I had ordered through the GF bakery was extra - about $25.00. There were snacks included were pop/soda , water and then pretzels chips etc.. It really was very nice. I will have to look for a few pics. Would you you be wearing your dress? That would be my only concern because there isn't a lot of extra space on the pontoons, the bench seats are along the sides. We had 4 adults and 2 teenage girls.

Thankyou so much for giving me so much info, its a great help ;) . I will definatly be wearing my dress as its gonna cost so much so i intend to get my £'s worth wearing it:) . Theres not going to be very many of us for the cruise so space hopefully should nt be a problem.

I did nt realise they charged you extra to hear Wishes on board though:rolleyes: . I figured with it being a "Wishes Cruise" that would already be inc in the price.
Id loooove to see your cake:lovestruc , $25.00 is a fantastic price for a cake. I thought Disney would charge way more than that.
If you do have any pics i would totally loooove to see them:cutie:

Ooooo now you are getting me even more excited!!

We were wanting to do a wishes cruise aswell but can't make our mind up between the yacht and pontoon. I've seen some photos on here of a bride who hired a pontoon for wishes but I havent found any firework shots taken from the Grand 1 :confused3

The cake was just a small cake(I am not sure even what size they said-maybe 10 inch? I chose the smallest option) but it was more than enough for our group. Everyone had a piece while on the pontoon and then they boxed up the rest for us to take. Here is a picture of the cake. We boarded at the GF marina and were able to see the electrical water pageant too! I will look for some additional pictures.

Thankyou for the pic of your cake, it looked lovely:lovestruc Great value for $25 as well!!
How much extra was things like drink ie soft drinks??
Cant wait to see more pics :woohoo: :goodvibes

I bet seeing the Electrical Water pageant was pretty special too, i ve watched that before & it looks so lovely. Very tranquil & relaxing to watch :cutie: . Added bonus when you get that thrown in as well as Wishes  :yay:

The cake was very good- vanilla with chocolate mousse filling and plenty left to take home and enjoy! the snacks were included!:cool1: There was an ice cooler with pop/soda and bottled water and then a nice size basket filled with a variety of chips, pretzels etc. In total I think we were out about an hour maybe a little longer. The captain we had was very friendly and had a lot stories to share. He said there can be up to 30 pontoon boats on any given night along with the Grand 1 and then a boat they use for grand gatherings..... It was very tranquil and pretty. It was so awesome to see tinkerbelle flying from the castle- :tink: it was so bright against the dark sky . a very different view than usual. It is something we plan on doing again! We want to have the Grand 1 for our VR for our 20th anniversay:thumbsup2

If you can request Chuck to serve you while on your cruise, he was amazing!

(On my photo link below there is 1 photo from the Grand 1's master cabin)

I loooove:lovestruc that part of Wishes when you can see Tinkerbell flying a cross the sky, then again i loooove:love: the whole of Wishes it always makes me cry:rolleyes:. I think the idea of being on a mini cruise just you & your loved ones watching Wishes is my idea of heaven:cloud9: . Ooohhhhhh i dont know which one to go for the Pontoon Boat or the Grand 1???
If anyone has any pics of either one please can i see them as id love to see the difference so i can try to make a decision;)

Feline,

When I booked the CM gave me the website of searay so I could look at the photos...

... If you go to http://searay.com

Click on North America

Click on 'Yachts' (its the 4th option down on the left hand side of the page)

Then click on 52' Sedan Bridge

Thats the same yacht as The Grand 1, so you can get some idea of what it looks like inside! :-)

I know its more expensive than the pontoon boats, but the reason I chose it was down to the space. We could easily have managed with a Pontoon but we are taking our photographer on the cruise with us to get some shots of us with the fireworks in the background and I just figured out that this would probably work better on a boat with different rooms etc etc rather than one of the Pontoon boats!

Thankyou so much for the pics:) ,why did nt i think to google images, lol:rolleyes: . I showed my DF the pics of the Pontoon Boats in comparison with the Grand 1 & hes exact words were "we re having the Grand 1 " so yay:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Grand 1 does look so beautiful, it makes the whole cruise that bit more special :lovestruc

Thats sucks that your on your way to work now, cant say im exactly looking forward to getting up for work monday morning myself though:headache: . Roll on next wkend;)

Hi, I don't want to put a dampener on things (literally) but we did a Wishes cruise on a pontoon and it rained really heavily. The weather was that bad that they didn't do Wishes until 21:45.

There was no protection on the pontoon at all, apart from the tiny bit where the driver is, and we got absolutely soaked. I wouldn't want to risk that in a wedding dress. We are thinking about doing it again as part of our wedding week but will definitley be booking the Grand.

We had a cake but couldn't eat it because of the weather so we took it back to the Contemporary and ate it there!

        :guilty: :guilty: Oh my god hun that sounds like an absolute nightmare:scared1: . I bet you could of cried:headache:

Thats cemented it to me that its the Grand 1 we re going with.:woohoo: :yay:

I had never seen the pics of a pontoon boat so when i did i could nt believe the diff between one & the Grand 1. I guess thats why there is such a diff in the price:rolleyes:

Alex by any chance have you been given any pricing on how much the Grand 1 maybe for next year??

((Did you sort out booking Randy))

I was also wondering if you book the Wishes cruise with your w.planner or is this something you have to book with Disney yourself??

Hey Becca,

I haven't got any prices, sorry. It's something we are thinking of but we'll have to see about budget. It was around the $450 last year. I'm not sure either if you would book it with Disney direct but would think so. There is a number that you call to book the cruises - I haven't got a note of it but it is in one of the other topics. If I can find it I'll post it for you.

It was actually a right laugh on the cruise! It had been raining all day and eased off when we got to the Contemporary. We had kagools with us and Crocs on so we dried out pretty quickly but it was funny. We were huddled up with the driver trying to keep dry and eventually thought what the h*ll, we're wet anyway so we sat in the open and got soaked. He was having a real problem controlling the boat and it kept swinging round.

I wold definitley do it again with a pontoon if it was just the two of us, but for the wedding week it will be the rand if we decide to do it.

I booked Randy last week!! Yay!! He's such a lovely man and we SO made the right decision. We also booked Kevin Knox :thumbsup2
