Sorry so many questions!!!

We are going to renew our vows in Nov. We are going to have the Intimate Wedding Add on package. We have chosen Sea Breeza Point as our location.

I was just wonderingg what some of your opinions are on the following:
Illuminations Dessert Party(not the cruise)
OR
WISHES Cruise on the Grand1

I would like to do one of these with my family, about 14 of us, the night of the ceremony. Any one think one is better than the other? Any pros/cons? I really think both sound nice and from what I have been reading on the net they would be almost the same price. How do I deside??!!

We did the wishes cruise on a regular boat since the Grand I wasn't available. Besides the fact that it was so cold that night we had a wonderful time. I think it's a great way to get all the guests together. We had it catered with cheese and fruit platters and beer, water and soda. The only problem was it was so cold no one ate or drank much.

check out yourfairytale.com under disney wedding basics, event locations (ceremony & reception) they list epcot & illuminations dessert party locations and includes info, menus & some pictures. or contact epcot catering or your em directly. fyi-there might be a small party fee for your group size.

as for the grand1 yacht it seats up to 16 and costs $350/hour to rent which includes a driver & deckhand on this 48ft searay. it gives you a private tour of the seven seas lagoon & bay lake with a great view of the mk fireworks. you can also order food & snacks from grand floridian private dining on board. call 407-824-2439 to reserve in advance as its popular. the grand1 will make pick ups from the gf, and if requested the polynesian, contemporary, wilderness lodge & ft wilderness.

fyi-i also posted 2 pictures of seabreeze point under the banner above under pictures/videos on wdwinfo.com under member photos for boardwalk.

they both seem great, we're planning a dessert party for our after our wedding reception. we've done an illuminations cruise & a moonlite cruise before from the yacht club that we both really enjoyed! dont think you can go wrong either way. best of luck and congrats on your vow renewal!

We had a dessert party and it was fabulous. There was about 20 of us and we had it at the upper terrace of the UK. In our eyes it was that once in alifetime opportunity. Disney provided cm's at a roped off entrance and we had obviously the desserts and added open bar. The views of the show were amazing!

One drawback was the need for the guests to have to use a park ticket to get into Epcot. (There was a way around it, but I forget how it went, I think it was like a flat fee of somewhere in the range of 15-20 bucks for anyone who wanted to meet our em at the international gateway entrance, but I honestly cant remeber excatly) We decided in the end it was too crazy to have everyone doing their own thing and just recommended everyone plan on making the most of that particular day by getting a full day of park exploring in.

I actually did an Illuminations Dessert party at UK Upper. For 16 people our total was just under $550. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.

We also did a Wishes cruise on our honeymoon using a pontoon boat. We had a meal served on board that I arranged thru GF private dining. I picked our favorite dishes off the private dining menu along with some items served in the restaurants at GF. I spent about $350 on that, which would have been more if I had used the G1.

I am glad I had the opportunity to do both. Both are pretty spectacular. Are your guests boat people? Do you like the idea of being on a yacht?

You will probably spend a bit more on the G1 depending on food options. Have your guests seen Illuminations? You cannot hear the music on the G1 for Wishes... I'm just trying to throw out some thoughts to help you make your decision!

BTW, my ceremony was at SBP, if you'd like to see picture you can click on the link in my sig.

does anyone know what time the Wishes show will start in May?? also- is there music on the pontoon boats (specialty cruise)?

thanks!

No music on the boats. You can just faintly hear the music from Main street but not really.
