Wishes Cruise during MVMCP?

I'm just curious if any of you have done a wishes cruise on a party night? I ask because I booked one on 12/3 - it was a day or two after the 90 day mark and I just asked on a whim while making another PS and was surprised they still have one left (just one though) Well, anyway I called back yesterday to change my PS at O'hana that night to coordinate with the cruise and the CM I spoke to was very, very nice but could not understand how I could book a fireworks cruise on a party night because she said they have NO IDEA what time the fireworks will go off on a party night! She said it's info that isn't given out, even to the guests until they arrive that night....now, she seemed very knowledgable, but this just doesn't seem right to me. I DO understand that the times are probably not out YET, but kept a secret until the day OF? Didn't I read that fireworks last year were at 9:15 on party nights? She even seemed to think the times varied quite a bit from one party to the next, making it impossible to know what time to book a cruise for. This does sound logical to me at all, but in the end she talked me into changing it to a different night. That's fine I guess, but the orginal date would have been our last night there and I thought the cruise would have been a nice ending to our trip. Just curious if anyone has any personal experiance with this?
Thanks! Jamie

I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I made a ressie for a Wishes cruise yesterday and the nice CM told me to call back within a month to find out the exact time for the fireworks and that will determine when our cruise will depart. So, we have it booked, I just don't know time we leave yet which is okay. Although, our cruise is scheduled for the 4th which is not a MVMCP night.

Another CM, told me that there are fireworks on the MVMCP night and you can call as the date gets closer to determine your departure time. I hope that this is helpful and enjoy your cruise!

Hmmm - that's interesting because that's just what the original CM told me who booked my cruise in the first place. I was expecting the "call back for an exact time" deal too because I booked an Illuminations cruise (which we ended up cancelling because of cold wheather) 3 years ago so I know they can't give the times until closer till the actual date - but not at ALL? Weird. Thanks for replying - I really appreciate it!
I'd still be interested to hear from anyone who's actually booked one on a party night.

That is interesting .... especially the different times at different parties. I'm sure they don't print a different schedule for every party. I'm not buying what she was selling.

I, too, had a Wishes Cruise booked for a MVMCP night. I began questioning the CMs after someone on this board told me there would be no fireworks cruises for MNSSHP. I've had at least 2, if not 3, tell me that that is correct -- that there will not be Wishes fireworks cruises on MVMCP nights. Who knows if they are correct, but I ask every time I call, and I keep getting the same answer. One CM said the show is different for the Party and it can't be seen as well as Wishes. ????? To be safe, I think I would rebook on another night. Or, You could always keep it until the last minute but also book another night just in case. Because you are right -- it would be a GREAT way to end the trip.

Why are the cruises booked if there is not going to be a cruise? I asked concierge to book a Wishes Cruise for me and they did---on Dec. 10th, which is a party night. So am I understanding that there will be no Wishes Cruise that night?

In my experience, the fireworks on MVMCP nights have always been between the parades. The time is not all that hard to figure out.

Don't worry about it - I'm sure you will be just fine. The CM booking the cruises was probably just not all that experienced.

Best wishes -

lorileer - that is interesting that you were told that there would be no Wishes cruises on party nights! Makes me think maybe the CM did have somewhat of a clue, but the part about the times varying night by night is highly doubtful to me still.
Thanks to everyone who responded - I am thinking now maybe I did the right thing by changing it to a non party night!

but are there cruises on party nights or not? I have one booked for the 10th. I have to rescheduled or something we will not see the fireworks. Are you all rescheduling because there will not be fireworks? Does that mean I will just float around the lagoon and look at the stars?

Just got off the phone and was told that there are NO Wishes cruises on the MVMCP nights. This is because the fireworks are a bit different and the is a danger potential with boats being on the lagoon. Therefor there are no boats on the lagoon. I asked when I would be informed that my confirmed boat ride was not going to happen and she said "well at some point, someone would catch it and phone you". I asked why concierge would do this and she stated that someone had not read their "notes". I rescheduled for the 8th. Was told nothing was available for the 4th or 5th. Thansk to all who post. I had no idea I had a problem until I read this post. My children would have been very upset if we had missed out.
