Okay, I did a search for this topic and got conflicting reports, some people say you can hear the music for Wishes on the beach, some say no. Has anyone recently been there that can tell me for sure? Also, can you hear the narration too or just the music?

We are going in October and because of MNSSHP there are only 2 nights we are there that they are actually showing Wishes. One is Wednesday which is our arrival day. We will be eating at Ohana around 7:30 and both my daughter's (8 & 2) don't like the noise of the fireworks, so I figured if they pipe in the music and narration from Wishes we can just go down to the beach and watch them from there.

Our only other option is Saturday night which is doable, but we'll be at MGM that evening and trying to get over to MK and then get a good viewing spot since they are doing the Spectro parade also may be pushing it. Plus, then I'd have to worry about earplugs for my 8 year old and trying to keep the 2 year old from getting upset. TIA for any info!!

I was there about 2 weeks ago and we're always either at the beach/pool or at our balcony watching "Wishes." And no I didn't hear the music or the narrator. However, when we did the Ohana twice (June and July) the music is piped in. It was nice to watch the "Wishes" and the same time to hear the narrator and the music being played.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that there is a Halloween version of "WISHES" on the Halloween party nights! :flower:

I did know there were fireworks, but is it the same show as the regular Wishes just in Halloween colors or something? We will be at MNSSHP on Friday. I'm really interested in hearing the narration and music more than seeing the actual fireworks, LOL!! I've heard it's really great.

I was there a week ago. Wishes music was in 'Ohana, Pool area, concierge lounge and halls of concierge building.

Also Hawaiian music was along all the paths until 10 PM when it was shut off each night.

Aloha

We were there 2 weeks ago, no Wishes music, this was upsetting as we had specially made the trip to watch Wishes from the Poly beach on our last night. They played it last year when we stayed at the Poly for our honeymoon.

When we were there in July the music was working some days and not working other days.

It was always piped into the concierge lounge -- no problems there.

But we noticed at the beach you had to have your ear right up against a speaker to hear it (literally .... sitting at a table next to a speaker was not sufficient). Also, the Hawaiin music that usually plays throughout the day was not working the first three days we were there -- but was working for several days ... and then was not working the last few days. I'm assuming they are working on it. We definitely missed it the days it was not playing ... it really creates a relaxing mood as you walk about the grounds.

Hi, we were just there 12-17 and one night we were on the beach far side right, near the wedding chairs and you could not hear music...the other night we were near the pool and pool bar and you could hear the music...no narration, but clearly could hear the music...hope this helps...I am still trying to get my report posted...what is wrong with the board...it keeps telling me no forum selected.....

You will only hear the music in areas where it is piped in, not on the beach.

The beach does have speakers in the lights and I did hear music last week on the beach. There seems to be some inconsistency about them turning it on but at times you can hear it from the beach.

Thanks everyone! If we are done with dinner by then, we will try the pool area!

Well, I am definitely disappointed! I was looking forward to watching (and hearing) Wishes! from the Poly beach.

We were planning on heading over to 'Ohana from MK on a non-MVMCP night. Historically, Wishes! has been performed at 7pm on these nights. When would be the best time to get a PS (old habits die hard) at 'Ohana and still enjoy the fireworks during, say, dessert? Also, are there any specific seating areas we should request?

Thanks from an 'Ohana newbie!

It is the fireworks show at MK. It is beautiful by itself, but the narration and music make it a really moving show. But I always cry a lot at WDW. Tears of happiness I'm sure, or for my lost youth!!!

Certainly if you are staying at the Polynesian the fireworks are lovely from the Beach, but those that have never seen Wishes you really have to be at the MK to get the full affect.

When we were there during August you could only hear the music and narration from O'Hanas and the concierge lounge. You can hear some of it coming across from the MK but not very clearly.
