Wishes and O'hana's?

We have PS's to O'Hana's on July 22nd at 8pm. I just looked up the park hours for July and it says MK closes at 10pm. Does that mean that Wishes starts at 10pm or does it start before 10pm? And should I change my PS time for OHana's to see if we can catch wishes from there?

Wishes will be at 10PM, since Spectromagic is run at 9PM.

Can you see Spectromagic from O'Hana's?

You could schedule a PS to coincide with Wishes, or you could eat at Ohana, then walk out to the Poly beach and watch Wishes from there. However, I'm not sure if you can hear the music there. I know they pipe in the music to Ohana during Wishes.

Another plus is that you can see the Electrical Floating Pageant on the lagoon sometime between 9 and 10 (don't remember the exact time.)

You wouldn't be able to see the Spectromagic parade from Ohana.

No, it's a parade run down Main Street. The floats and characters are all lit up! Millions of light bulbs are used, and it's not to be missed. If you want to catch both, I'd move your PS up till no later than 6:30. You really need to stake out your spot for Spectromagic around 1 hour before on Main Street. After Spectro is over, you can than hang around and watch Wishes from inside MK.

I agree. If your Ohana seating is on a day you are already at the parks, I would eat at Ohana, then boat or monorail over to the Magic Kingdom to watch Spectromagic and Wishes from there. I'm sure it's nice to see Wishes anywhere, but I know you won't really get the full effect unless you see it from inside the MK.

We've seen Wishes from Ohana's this past March. We had a pretty good view, but there was still a small amount that was obstructed. Anyhow, I don't think anything beats being there for it.

What's the difference between Spectromagic, Wishes and the Electric parade. We are also planning on dining at O'Hana's our first night at WDW (6:30) but do not plan on entering the parks that day. Will it be easy to see one of the sky shows from the Contempoary or Poly easily? Thanks.

Wishes is the fireworks show that is launched from the MK. You are able to view it from selected spots at any of the three hotels on the seven seas logoon (Poly,GF, and Contemp).

Spectromagic, sometimes called the "electric parade" is a parade in the MK that can only be seen within and takes place at night and is highlighted by tens of thousands of colored lights.

The is also an electric parade that takes place on the seven seas lagoon every night consisting of floats with colored lights on them.

So it would be possible to see a bit of Spectromagic and the lagoon parade then from one of those hotels. Good to know. Also, are the parades and sky shows (everything from all parks) are they run every day/night in summer, weather permitting? Thanks again.
