Wish Trip DCL Dream July 8-13 2012

OK, talk about a great day, after school another package arrived for the kids!!
This one was from Andrea (VBAndrea).

The kids with their packages, so happy!

Reed liked his sisters too and took it from her!

I was trying to show the gifts laid out, but Aziza was having to hold Reed back b/c he really wanted to take her Lady shirt.

He couldn't help himself he had to put it on.

This is how he went to PT and OT this afternoon, dressed in his cute new shorts with puppy dog paw prints on them and his sister's new Lady shirt. At least he didn't want to wear her skirt!

He wanted to keep on his new clothes so I told him he could wear them after his bath too. (I secretly switched his shirt back to the Tramp dog while he was in the bath)

Here is another view of how totally cute this Lady and the Tramp coordinating set is!!!! Love the matching head band too!!

It was such an exciting day for the kids that Reed actually fell asleep about 15 minutes later on the couch. Isn't he cute asleep in his new outfit.

Thank you so much Andrea for the totally adorable outfits for the kids!! Aziza loved her skirt!! To quote her (insert high pitched excited voice) "I LOOOVE big fluffy skirts like this"! And I think Reed's insistence on wearing BOTH shirts and not wanting to take it off shows just how much he loved getting them too!!! LOL. I never knew a boy that liked clothes like Reed does! They are adorable Andrea, Thank you!

Thank you also to Heather Sue for the wonderful Lady and the Tramp designs you made and let Andrea use to stitch out for my kids outfits! I LOVE them!!

I am so happy everyone likes the outfits I think it's sooooo sweet that Reed wanted Lady as well and even more sweet that Aziza allowed him to wear her shirt to PT. Agreed though that I'm glad he chose his shorts over her skirt

The pic of the kids on the couch is outstanding -- I know you said it's hard for Reed to be still for photos but I think you have a beautiful photo right there! And I too adore the one of him sleeping in his outfit.

I am so pleased to have been able to share in your BG. Hearing Reed's story really touched my heart. Hearing Aziza's kind, compassionate responses to her younger brother melted it. You are blessed with two beautiful children.

I also have to tell you I love your home! I have been wanting to tile the wall under our bar since we moved into our home (10 years ago ) and seeing yours makes me want to trade homes! I also love your countertops and the walls in your dining area -- absolutely exquisite!

Thanks, I agree, I was so excited when I was able to get that photo of him looking up on the couch!! Pretty much he can't be still anymore, so I send Aziza around the room posing next to him and she has to keep up with him and I chase them around with the camera trying to keep in front of Reed so I can hopefully get a good shot of him and then I have to weed out the ones where she isn't ready in them. That is the only way to get them both into the same photograph unless there is someone who can hold Reed still, but even then he rarely will look up for me when he knows I am trying to get his picture! I think it is a game for him!! He likes to keep us on our toes! Lol
Thanks for the comments on my house. I painted the kitchen/ dining area myself. For the bar tile (and kitchen back splash too), I found a tile worker putting tile into new homes for a nice builder here near us and asked him if he would like to come do a cash side job at my house on his time off. He did and was way cheaper then hiring directly from a company. I also got lucky with our counter tops as I work for a dentist and at the time he was opening up our new office and we were using one of our patients who owns a granite company to do the whole office in granite and he was giving us rock bottom prices and we were doing his entire families dental work for free. He said he would give us the same pricing for our homes if we wanted, so three of us in the office took advantage of the great opportunity and had our homes done too. . I hope you can get lucky with some creative deals as well!!
Last night as it was time for Aziza to go to bed and she had to take off her new outfit from you she started begging me to please let her wear it to school tomorrow. So of course I said sure. Glad you included the care instructions for the outfits so I can keep them looking bran new for the wish trip!

That is the least I can do! Aziza and I so enjoyed reading your pre-trip report of your southern tour and seeing that great photo of you and Megan you posted up. I was so nice to see who sent the package, you are both beautiful and that is a great photo!

I can't believe it, another package arrived today! How lucky can two little kids get!! Today's gift came from Sarah (Princess Mickey) with help from Brandon and Dylan. Thanks boys for picking the kids favorite colors!

Reed got a Woody travel holder for a coloring pad and twist up crayons! How cute!! He loved his, but you can see he is always immediately eying what his sister got to see if he wants to lay claim to her gift also. This is just one of many traits Aziza is always putting up with so patiently out of him! Thankfully she is a little about it.

Aziza loved her Minnie mouse travel art portfolio. She immediately said "O-cool, can we take these on our cruise mom"? Of course!!! They are perfect for the airplane trip and hotel room the night before too!!

Thankfully Reed didn't try to steal her Minnie Mouse pad tonight and Aziza got to work straight away making her first master piece.

Reed got to work too, but he wanted a snack while he drew his picture.

Of course he picked the color purple to use, his favorite, just like Brandon and Dylan picked for the outside color of his travel holder. Thanks Brandon and Dylan.

Thank you Sarah for the very cute and useful gifts! Those will come in handy for sure! Please tell Brandon and Dylan thanks too and they did a good job picking the fabric and colors for the kids.

You are very welcome. My boys love helping out. I showed them a picture of the kids and then shared the favorite characters and colors before going to the fabric store and they helped pick out what fabrics to use. I can't wait to show them the pictures, they will be so excited!!! It looks like Reed is really enjoying it as well as Aziza. I hope they continue to enjoy them and you all have a wonderful trip!!!

The artist pads and crayon holders are adorable. I think it's so cute how Reed eyes up Aziza's items -- I know you and Aziza probably don't find it so cute since you deal with it all the time, but Reed seems like such an investigative, curious boy and I find that charming. BTW, I see Aziza did indeed where her outfit to school! I'm so happy that she likes it so much And I love the kids artwork -- I'm so glad you posted a pic of what they drew. Wonder if you will get any packages today? Isn't it fun when things start trickling in?!

Andrea, both kids wore their new outfits to school yesterday! Reed already had his bath, so he was already changed into his PJ's in the picture last night. I have to tell you I love those shorts you made the elastic in the waist is super easy and comfortable! Much easier to get up and down for diaper changes then shorts from the store are!!! I was super happy for that! Thanks again.

Lisa, Aziza has been wearing her Minnie mouse bracelet to school everyday! She loves having it and the note about it being a good luck bracelet makes it super special to her!! Thanks!

Diane I have to tell you each evening Aziza has asked to use her new Mickey wash cloth. I have to say so far I have been holding off. lol. They are so cute I like them as decorations and hate for them to get dirty. I am sure after a bit I will let them use them for bath too. I just gotta have a spell to look at them all cute and clean in my basket by the tub. Thank you!

Wooo Hooo, more Mickey Mail came today!! The kids were cheering. So happy for the last day of school and a special package arrived for them to open as soon as they got home. What a great way to start their summer off!

The COOLEST magnets I have ever seen!!! PERFECT for our stateroom door!!! Somebody has a real magical touch with making magnets! Wow, I have not seen any this nice before! I wish there was a picture of a great big smiley face with all the teeth showing, b/c that is what I am doing. You just made me real happy! The kids love them too and can't wait to put them up on our door as soon as we are allowed back to our cabins!! I was really wanting some door magnets and these are WAY better then the ones I imagined in my head!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Our door is going to look so good now!! I have a notebook started with stuff to take on the ship and so I can bring back our navigators and such unwrinkled. I have tucked the new door magnets nicely inside my notebook for the cruise so they can't get bent in the luggage.
