Hello!

We are sailing on the Wish very soon and currently we have adult dining booked for 1st and 4th night. This is our first Disney Cruise and we don't want to miss out on either 1923 or Arendelle (although if I can choose, I would keep 1923). I already know the dining rotation schedule varies week to week and I even did a chat w/ the Disney Cruise agent and see if they can find out, but unfortunately either they know but won't release the info or they really can't see it.

I am praying Marvel will be either on 1st or 4th night as that's the one we are least interested in. What are your thoughts and advice on this?

TIA :thanks:

You can actually request your order for dinning but there is no guarantee you will get it. I can’t remember what the dinning rotations are anymore maybe some one can chime in. one Must start or finish with Marvel therefore you can pick what day you want to go to Palo.

Dining isn’t set until a week before you go so the person you talked to would not know. Plus it is done by the head server on the ship.

The rotations do not vary week to week. Rather, there are three rotations and they won’t know up until close to your cruise what rotation you’ll be assigned to. They split the passengers evenly between the three rotations, taking into account groups sizes. On a 4-nights, the repeat night is usually night 3 because it is Pirate night. All three rotations will therefore have the 1223 pattern. If you eat at the specialty restaurants on nights 1 and 4, you’ll only eat in only one MDR during your cruise.

Great to know! I'll definitely reach out to them again when it's one week out. Thank you!

Ah I see. We will let go of one of the dinner resy for sure, just need to decide which one! I will also keep checking night 3 dining options to see if anything opens up and switch over! :thanks: for all the info!

You can do it now, so then it would be sitting in your requests.

We had Arendale, 1923,1923 , Marvel. That way you could do day 4.

Awesome! I will put in the request tomorrow! Thanks so much for the info!🙏
Yeah day 4 will be ideal if I got this rotation. The ambiance in 1923 is more our vibe and we wouldn't mind skipping Marvel. But the perfect situation would be trying all the rotation once so that means I'll need a 2nd or 3rd night resy!

What are some of your favorites at 1923?

It would be perfect if I could get a 2nd or 3rd night reservation!
That might be a challenge on the Wish. We booked dining at midnight EST as soon as it opened, and were not anle to book either brunch or dinner at Palo. We were able to get a first night reservation once onboard, so we missed our MDR that night. It was Marvel, and we didn’t particularly care, since we were doing a B2B and would be dining in all three MDRs over the two cruises.

Wow! I've only been on 4 cruises, but I had just assumed it went 123123123, etc. Do you happen to know how 7 night cruises work? I may have planned our upcoming Fantasy dining plan all wrong!

It varies according to the routing. It should be 1231231 on Eastern and 1231223 on Western but there have been instances in the past where they changed things up for a specific sailing. They have also used two variations for the same routing in the past (Eastern A and Eastern B) but that was a few years ago.

Oh darn! I literally found the rotation schedule for Magic/Dream/Fantasy the other day and I didn't save it! But I found a thread on DIS - https://www.disboards.com/threads/7-night-eastern-on-fantasy-dining-menus.3869360/

This will help you a bit! Good luck!

Rotation is not guaranteed until Cruise goes. On ours, pirate night got moved a day. So, it’s never 109% until you get there.

If we won’t have a private table we don‘t miss the first nights. We did that once and the remainder of the cruise was awkward as relationships were formed with the others.

That’s usually our situation as well. However, on a recent 4-night cruise on the Wish, the only way we could go to Palo was to book it for the first night once we were onboard. As it turns out, our tablemates did the same thing, so the entire table was empty the first night of the cruise.

Update - I put in a request for Marvel on the last night for our rotation. 🤞that we'll get that and we'll most likely cancel our 1st night resy.
