I had the honor and privilege of meeting our very own Septbride2002 at the Magic Kingdom on Saturday Feb. 7th. Me (Doreen) and my DH (Todd) met Amanda (Septbride2002) and her DH Brian in front of Casey's to snag a prime spot for Spectromagic and Wishes.
We hit it off immediately. Amanda and I promptly ditched the guys (sorry guys...
) for a quick shopping trip! We had planned to buy Princess hats so we scurried through the crowds to a shop behind the castle in Fantasyland that sells LOTS of princess stuff. We had fun trying on various hats and getting to know each other. Here are pics of the hats we DIDN'T buy - I think you'll see why:

We finally settled on something a little less conspicuous but still befitting our status as WISH Princesses and headed back to Main Street:

It was the first time that Amanda and Brian had ever seen Spectromagic and I loved watching their faces. It turns out that Brian is a big fan of Fantasia so they seemed to especially enjoy that section of the parade.
None of us had seen Wishes and we all found it truly magical. A mom with 2 small kids was next to us. She put her little boy on her shoulders but her daughter couldn't see. Brian was kind enough to hold her so she could see the fireworks better. He's gonna make a great dad!!
All too soon our evening was over. We walked to the busses together and said our good-byes. Every person I've ever met from the DIS has turned out to be so nice and lots of fun - Amanda and Brian are no exception! They are a great couple! I'm looking forward to spending more time with them when we're all together for the half-marathon next January!!
