So I stayed up until midnight last night to book for my upcoming 4 night Wish. We have 2 linked cabins - DH and I in one cabin and our DD19 and DD21 in the other cabin. We are all gold and it’s our first time sailing in two cabins and first time sailing with adult children (they were 15 and 17 the last time we sailed). The only thing I was really hoping for was Palo brunch, though I also wanted to check for a cabana on Serenity Bay.
I logged in at exactly midnight. I had the little spinny blue thing until 12:01, but it was fairly quick. I Immediately went to the cabanas - all were booked (which I expected, so I was not really disappointed).
So then I went to dining to try to book a Palo brunch for a party of 4. It was mess. I initially tried to book for 4 on our sea day, but it would only let me select 2 people, so I figured there was no availability for 4 and just booked DH and I for noon on our sea day. Then I checked Nassau day and was able to book DD19 and DD21 for noon on that day. Then I thought about it and decided that the whole point was for the 4 of us to experience Palo together since the kids were now adults. So I cancelled both reservations (which took a while … kept getting a message that the reservation could not be changed at this time) and decided to start over. So I messed around and discovered that the system would not let me select 4 people for Palo brunch if I went through the primary reservation … it would let me select 2 names from either stateroom and would give me times to choose from, but it would not let me select all 4 (as soon as 2 names were selected, the other 2 would go gray). But if I went through the secondary reservation, I could select all 4 and it would give me times to select from … but if I clicked on a time, I got a message that said I could not book because other people on my reservation were currently using the reservation system (not currently booked for Palo, but using the reservation system - which was not the case - I even logged out entirely and closed all my tabs to make sure that I wasn’t somehow logged in twice). It was maddening. I spent over an hour messing around with that before I gave up and went to bed without any reservations.
Around 10:00am today, I decided to give it another try and was able to book Palo brunch on our sea day for 4 people without a problem going through the primary account. There was only one time slot available (several were showing at 12:30am when it wouldn’t let me complete the booking). Go figure. My guess is that booking and cancelling Palo for 2 caused some glitch on the overloaded system that cleared up overnight … I don’t know. It was so weird that I could only select 2 people through the primary account, but 4 from the secondary account.
So, all is well that ends well.
And, as of 11:30am, there was availability for dinner at Palo and Enchante every night as well as Enchante brunch. Palo dinner on Nassau day (pirate night and the evening you repeat a dining room) only had later reservations (7:30pm onward). The only things that I noticed as sold out were the cabanas, the picnic with Olaf, a couple of tastings.
