I work in a very mission driven organization. I love our organization, and believe fiercely in the work we do, but I don't love my role very much. I don't see any opportunities for me to move into a role that I'd like more within the same organization.
Yesterday I was on the web, kind of halfheartedly looking at other places I might want to work, and I found what seems like a perfect job for me. So, now, I need to decide if I'm going to apply or not.
So, wish me luck in making the right decision, and, if I decide to go for it, wish me luck in getting it and having some clarity about whether I want it or not.
If anyone has any hints on applying for a job when you're not sure you want to leave your current job, I'd love to hear it. For example, giving references.
