We are Disneyland Annual Passholders so when I heard that DVC was going to offer Disneyland perks I was thrilled. I am quite anxious as well!!!

Although there has not been an official announcement, it is my understanding from speaking with DVC reps at DL that DVC members get discounts at many Down Town Disney locations and you can also get $20.00 off the price of an annual pass. As described to me, the discounts seemed to be similar to the discounts made available to annual pass holders.

Our family suggests hanging out with the DVC rep. at the cart on Main Street just prior to the start of the fire works. The DVC cart is a decent place to watch the fire works from.

I found out tonight that the AP perk is the $20 discount off of a Deluxe or Premium AP. (Prices before discounts are: Deluxe $209 Premium $329) I was also told that you should buy you AP at one of the main ticket booths and not to buy it at the bank on Main Street. Basically the people at that location are clueless and not very helpful.

I have the AAA package booked so we can get those unlimited fastpass...now I have to weigh that perk against the DVC discount.

You can actually get the complete listing of perks by calling Member Services. I spoke to them right after the announcement of DL deals (via the newsletter...a couple weeks ago maybe?), and the rep was shocked that it couldn't be accessed from the website. Nevertheless, she read to me the complete list of participating locations of discounts, as well as the $20 off of AP. Unfortunately, the list was loooooong and I don't have it with me now, but I'm sure you could give them a call and ask about specifics if you'd like.


FYI, we're going during 50th Celebration week too, and I'd been hoping for other perks...namely some sort of discount on regular Park Hoppers, since the affordable AP is blocked out for much of our stay and the other is just not cost effective for us, even with the $20 discount.

I ordered my Disneyland Park tickets online from the Disney.com website last week. (As a matter of fact they just were delivered today in the mail) I got the 4 day adult park hopper for $159. Don't know if that will help you.

Anyone know if you can get the DVC discount when you upgrade a PH to an AP? Because the PH at DL may have benefits not available with an AP (EE, unlimited FP, no blockout days), I believe it is fairly common to upgrade to AP on the last day of your visit. We are going in July and again in Sept and plan to upgrade. -- Suzanne

If any of you are in the NYCity area and can get to the World of Disney store on 5th Ave, I bought my 5 day Adult hopper there for $129 last week. The CM assured me it was a special for the 50th and that was the price, not $169.

I would stay with that for now, and then see if you can upgrade to an AP on your last day. Also remember, that when you upgrade a park hopper pass at DL, they will credit you the whole value BUT they also back date it. For example, you paid $150 for a whatever day park hopper and your first day at the parks was July 1. On your last day, you go to upgrade, they credit $150 towards your AP but, the "Start" date on it would be back dated to July 1.

I was planning to keep the AAA package because I'm sure those unlimited fastpass will come in handy.

I wasn't too up to date on how to upgrade a pass but I understand your suggestion and its definitely worth a try to upgrade to an AP on the last day.
