WISH checkin thread week of November 30, 2003

Well, after last week's wonderful 4.5 lb loss, I unfortunately gained 1 lb back . I guess it's not bad considering Thanksgiving and a family dinner at a wonderful Italian restaurant on Sunday with the inlaws (damn that dessert sampler!).

I strive to do better in the coming week!!!

Considering how far off track I ended up over the weekend, I'm very happy to say I broke even. Now it's back on induction.

I am a little late checking in because I have decised to shift my check-in back to Thursdays - havin two check-in days was getting too complicated!!

I have lost 2lb this week - which I am delighted with - because I get my new fantastic GOLD Clippie!! I seem to be finding it tougher all the time to stick on plan - don't know how I will handle the upcoming challenges of my birthday followed by Christmas - but I really want to keep my new clippie!!

Considering it was a holiday for all you guys I think you have all done well - you have to live life as well as try to stick to your plans - some people have gone up - but I am sure a Whoosh back down will follow!!
Claire:wave:

Haven't been able to check in in a while as the 2 scales i use were both broken.
Basically i was off-plan for about 3 weeks.
First i had a cold and felt sorry for myself so didn't point anything i ate and as there were donuts and croissants floating around the office i indulged. Then i went for a weekend away and didn't even try to mentally add up points and definately didn't journal. Then when i came back i found it hard to get into it again.

But on Monday i did. And i'm really pround of myself cause before that would have been the point where i said: "i don't care" and just keep eating. But i stopped. And since monday have been on-plan and exercising.

So anyway i weighed in today at 142.5. Which means i gained bout 4lbs according to one scale but i think it's more like 2lbs. Which i will have lost for xmas.

Hi all! I lost 0.6 lbs this week :) I don't think I'm going to make my goal in time for my Disney trip but I'm only off by 2.2 lbs so I think I'm close enough ;)

Have a great week everyone!!

I'm still in my "maintaining" zone, but I did put on 2 pounds (but I'm still in the 130s so I consider that maintaining!). I have been eating more than usual since Thanksgiving, so on Monday I have to push the reset button and start counting points again. (Going to WDW this weekend so no point counting for me!) ;)

Happy Friday morning everyone!

I've lost my Thanksiving gain plus one more pound, so I'm at a total loss of 24 lbs.....next week that new clippie is mine!

I have a challenge tomorrow....two parties! The first one will be the hardest, an open house that will be full of treats. I'm going with a co-worker who also follows Atkins, so we are going to have a nice meaty lunch before we arrive and I might bring along a Pure-Delight bar in case chocolate calls to me (I know my hostess will probably have a cheese tray available too). Sat night is the company Holiday party and they will be serving three kinds of meat: salmon, roast pork and a roast beef, so I can easily get satisfied there. As long as I can stay away from the dessert table. I never crave sweets anymore, but do have some psychological attachment!

Good job everybody. And those of you that posted early in the week will probably be announcing a loss in just a couple of days!

I did weigh in yeaterday and I'm maintaining! YEAH! It looks like 150 are behind me, as I've been at 147 for almost a month. I realize that there hasn't been a loss, but I have changed my eating and exercising around a bit and didn't expect any. Now , I can go back to work and start a slow, steady loss. I won't make my January deadlline of goal as originally planned, but if I don't gain over the holiday, I'll be going in the right direction! I only have 22 more pound to go, so that will put me at goal right before bathing suit season, and practically at goal by my Spring Vacation!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy
