WISh Check-in week of October 5

Another 1.5 pounds gone off my body (somewhere)! My measurements didn't change, but the scale did.

I'm walking/running about 6 miles a day on the treadmill. I now walk 1/4 of a mile, then run 1/4 of a mile. So I'm building muscle and endurance.

I can taste my 10 pound clippie. It should be mine next week!

Congrats to everyone this week! Good job! Remember, one day at a time...

I stayed exactly the same this week. I must confess it has me a little worried. I have been very diligently staying on program for the past 2 weeks, but I only lost 0.6 last week and 0 this week. I do know that this sort of thing sometimes happens, so I will stick with it. At least I didn't gain any this week. I think I need to be really careful about how much sodium I get the day before my weigh-in. I tend to retain fluid very easily, and I had some tortilla chips the day before I went to WW. I'm gonna keep plugging away and add some more water to my routine. I was hoping to at least rightfully earn back my 5 pound clippie, but there's next week for that. :)

166.6/162.0/125.0

I'm very happy with my results this morning. 3 more lbs gone for good which means 11.5 since I joined WISH. Yeah - I get my 10 lb. clippie! In addition I lost 6.5 inches since I started. Best of all when I did our usual check at the blood pressure machine at the supermarket I noticed that my blood pressure and pulse are both lower (they were both borderline high in the past).

I'm feeling great and I'm really glad I started on this new journey.

To all my fellow losers - great job and thanks for the motivation that keeps me going as well.

To everyone who tried and is continuing on this healthier lifestyle - good job. Your hard work will be rewarded in may ways!

:bounce: Down another pound this week - YEAH a new clippie!:bounce:

Hope everyone has a great week::yes::

All that WHOOSHING is gettin' me excited! I had a mini-Whoosh of my own that earned me a new clippie 3pounds gone!

My exciting news this week is that I shopped in the regular sized clothes this week!! I bought a skirt size 14/16 and a jacket that I tried on 2 weeks ago and couldn't even get my arms in. This week it fits perfectly!!

Congrats to us all, keep on headin' down! :grouphug:

What a good week!

Sue & Co, pixie dust on the way. I know what that is like. Some of my "thingies" were removed just in the nick of time. Some I had to go back for further removal of tissue.

Well, I lost 1 more lb this week. I am happy with that. Next week when I check in, I hope to get my 5lb clippie.

Hi everyone! I'm down another 1 1/2 pounds this week. One more pound and I get a five pound clippie! It has gotten cold enough to put on jeans here and I am so happy my jeans are feeling very loose, almost ready to go down a size!:D
To everyone feeling a bit disapointed, keep plugging away you can do it! Keep doing a terrific job everyone!!!!:sunny:

I maintained this week, and that was my "best of 3" weigh-ins  I went to Curves 3 times, did WATP 2 and 3 mile tapes each once, and was exactly on target with my points. This "maintaining thing" had me pretty depressed yesterday morning. Add to this that I went looking for some new pants on Saturday night, and everything out there looks no better than the ones that are now literally falling off of me. To find something that isn't huge in the waist won't go on over my butt and thighs. Made me feel like I was better off when I weighed 29 pounds more because at least the clothes fit better. I know this is not the way I should be thinking ... I'm healthier, I weigh less than I have in many years, and I do look better. But when after all of my hard work, I have the most depressing shopping experience than I have ever had, let's just say it was not a good day in my house yesterday. Today is a new one, let's hope it's a better one :)

Congrats to all this week ... if it wasn't for your support, I probably wouldn't have even posted here this week.

Lost 2lb this week:D really pleased as on Friday I didn't keep on plan. Need one more pound and then I can claim my 10lb clippie. Hope I can get that next week.

Hope everyone has a good week
Helen:wave2:

Well I stayed the same this week. I'm happy about that because I've lost for the last three weeks, TOM starts tomorrow and I didn't stay on plan very well last week. So no gain is just fine with me! Plus I get to go to Disneyland tomorrow so, and I'm going 10 pounds lighter than last time I was there!!!! Of course I will be voting before I head up to Anaheim, and I hope everyone else in California will too. Have a great week everyone!!!

nancyj_pa That stinking bloat fairy! *sigh* meanie! But you went to a wedding, drank wine and still didn't gain weight? That is wonderful. You must have subconsciously controlled your portions. I'll bet you are retaining fluid because of the wine and off plan foods. It will leave you soon and take a pound or two of fat when it goes. I'm sure of it.

Congratulations to your daughter on her marriage.

Sue & Co. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie. I sure hope the results are good news from that surgery. The BF will leave you eventually. Don't get impatient. As long as you keep following your plan you will lose the weight. When will you be able to exercise again? Exercising will speed your losing. Hope you can get back to it soon.

Thanks for posting here even though you showed a tiny gain this week. I know it's more fun to post a loss. I'm proud of you for not giving up. You're going to succeed at this. You are going to reach goal. All of your WISH friends are going to help you!

Nancy WOW! Good job! Another three pounds gone forever and how motivating it is to watch you progress. You're doing great. I knew you could do this all along. Look at you! Almost half way to goal. I'm so happy and proud for you.

honeymo78 Excellent! You are 3 pounds closer to goal but even better, you are smaller, too. You are doing so well. I know it must be a wonderful feeling to get into clothing that was once too small. I sure hope you are feeling proud of yourself, I'm feeling very proud of you.

CALIFLADY Good job! 1.5 pounds closer to goal and you are building muscle. Way to go. You are doing so well with your eating healthy plan. I'm so proud of your dedication to exercise. You will earn that next clipart very soon, I'm sure. Be proud of yourself, we are all proud of you!

ead79 Why are you worried, Elisabeth? You know as well as I do that if you stay 100% on plan and exercise the weight is eventually going to go away. Don't get worried, get moving! Are you working out?

You can do this, you know you can. Don't get impatient, this weight will come off. Thank you for posting here today. I'm very proud of your determination to succeed.

WDWLVR You lost 6.5 inches??? WOO HOO!!! Way to go. Another 3 pounds gone forever, too. What's even more important is that your blood pressure is a more healthy number because of your new and healthy lifestyle.

Are you feeling proud of yourself? I sure hope so because I'm sure proud of you! love that pretty new clipart in your siggie :-)

rasnlms I love your enthusiastically positive attitude! Good job. Another pound gone and you earned a new clipart. You are just tearing up that road to goal.

Be proud of yourself, all of your WISH friends are sure proud of you!

Disney_1derland WOW! You have gotten much smaller and earned a new clippie. I can't wear a 14/16 yet, I'm looking forward to it though. You're doing great. 3 pounds lighter and smaller, too. Way to go. I'm so happy and proud for you.

ebaynut31 Losing a pound is steady progress, my friend. You are doing great. You are working your way to goal and doing a fine job. I'll bet you earn that new clipart very soon. I'm feeling pretty proud of you, today. Be proud of yourself!

Beastlover Look at you go! Another two pounds gone forever and you have earned that pretty 35 pound loss clipart. You are doing so well. It has been very motivational for me to watch your progress. You are on your way to goal and nothing can stop you now. WOO HOO!! I'm so happy and proud for you!

DaddyDon
Okay i know that doesnt sound like much

Are you talking to me? What do you mean it doesn't sound like much? 1 pound every week would be 52 pounds in a year. That's 4 sticks of butter or 20 slices of bacon. Duct tape that butter to some body parts and wear it around for a while and you will see just what you accomplished this week. You made progress this week. You lost one whole pound--16 whole ounces. You, my friend, are a WISH success and don't you ever forget it. You're doing great. When you can start exercising again you will start losing more weight. Be proud of yourself, I'm sure proud of you!

mommyflower Way to go! Another pound and half gone forever. Doesn't it just make you feel proud to see how successful you are? I'm sure proud of you. You're doing great! It's a great feeling when our clothing begins to get too large, isn't it? Good job, this week!

maryliz I'm glad you posted here this week, even though you are feeling down. Please don't feel so sad about this. You are probably building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. You maintained your weight. You are on your way to goal and you are going to get there. I'm sure you are. Don't be impatient. You are going to succeed, we're all going to help you. {{{HUGS}}} my friend, and smile. A positive attitude will help you reach goal. I'm proud of you...I just wish you were feeling proud of yourself!

Onward and downward, WISH buds...

I am reporting another 1 lb. loss this week. Woo Hoo!:Pinkbounc

And another Woo Hoo just for Katholyn! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for your great words of encouragement. They keep me plugging along.

Hi all, I wasn't going to check in this week with the week I had. It was a long week having a sick dd and no sleep....but I'm glad I checked... down 2 pounds
...... now if I could get a night's sleep, Last night I was able to get 3 continuous hours. Her fever has finally broke, so it's just the croupe now to deal with.
Good luck with your goals this week and good health!

Thanks for the inspiration. Hearing that twotoohappy came out of her dd's illness a little lighter made me happier. I think I can face this week now.

Went totally off the Atkins plan this weekend. DS's birthday 3 and we went to Santa's Workshop in Wilmington, NY. Ate birthday cake-lots :( and muffins, and even a hamburger bun (yuck!). And I'm just recovering from that monthly water retention event. So, while I didn't gain, I didn't lose and I feel stupid and piggy. :(

On the positive side, I walked a lot, and didn't use the handicapped spots, and kept moving, which for me is great!:)

So, it'll be awhile before I lose the last pound to get my first five pound clippie.

I lost 2 pounds this week giving me a new 20lb clippie. That makes a total of 32 pounds lost since 6/2/03. Woo hoo!!

Melanie

Hi all, you are all doing great. thank you all for posting it really helps me to stay motivated. I am happy to report a 1lb loss this week. I didn't think that I was going to see a loss this week, in fact I thought that I might have even put a little weight on, as I am really bloated. I upped my exercise this week, so I don't know whether the fluid retention is as a result of that. Hopefully the WF will soon be here to take it away.

I know I have lost lots of inches. When I started WISH at the beginning of Aug. I bought a pair of jeans 2 sizes smaller than what I was wearing. My goal was to get into them for our trip to WDW at the beginning of Dec. Anyway last week I tried them on to see how I was doing and I am happy to report that I am now wearing them and if anything they are a bit too big :D

Here's to all of us :grouphug: onward and downward :sunny:

No loss this week but no gain either. I am happy since I wasn't really good last week;) . I am planning on having alot better week. Congrats to all!!!

Who says Disney isn't magical?????? After walking probably 8 miles a day and eating whatever I wanted- the scales showed a 4.5 gain- but my clothes fit looser than when I left so I was stumped...but now that I'm off the rich food and desserts- now just 7 days later I have lost 7.5 pounds!!!! WOW!!! It does help that I've had this croup that's been going around and have probably blown 2 pounds out my nose- but hey, I'm taking it!!!

Drum roll, puhleaase!!!

185........and a shiny new 50 pound clippie to reflect it! (I actually sneaked it in on Sunday when I weighed 186 but even have an extra pound to pad that clippie with!)

Down 51 pounds since 4/1.....have 45 more to go!!! :) YEAH!!!!!

WISH WORKS WISH WORKS WISH WORKS WISH WORKS!

I really wanted to buy large amounts of sticks of butter and duct tape them to my body (clothes on of course!) to show how many sticks of butter I've actually lost- but just visualize it and you'll see one happy lady! :)
