Finally after weeks of struggling i have gotten my groove back. I'm down 2.5 lbs this weeks. I owe it all to Geetey for helping me and making suggestions for busting my platuea. I'm down to a cool 175.5 from 234.5! I'm thrilled and looking forward to picking up that 60lb clippee sometime soon. Thanks also to Kath for calling to cheer me on, KathyTX for listening to me whine, ditto the whining to Geetey thanks Terry you saved me girl! And lmhall2000, Tara you a wonderful buddy and you really kept my chin up and pushed me not to give up and i did'nt thanks to you. I really do appreicaite all my wish buddy's but these folks have really helped pull me thru my toughest weeks this past month thanks guys you are all so awesome. I hope your weight's are just as great i can't tell you all how proud i am to get a real loss for a change.

Well despite taking a week off this week aiming just to maintain I have lost the 1lb I had put on last week so I am now back to my 10lbs lost. From tommorrow I am strictly back on plan - no excuses.

Sue

My weight loss this week is 2lbs:D and that means I can get a 5lb wt loss banner:Pinkbounc How does that happen? I have now lost a total of 6.5 since joining this board and let me tell you I don't know about anybody else but that banner change is a motivator in it's self for me since I spend so much time on the DIS board. It is a great feeling to see it change:Pinkbounc :bounce:
Good luck to all WISH ers this week and may we all maintain or loose with the upcoming holiday.
Happy 4th to all:D
Kathe

I figured out how to grab my 5 pound clippie now on to the 10 lb.

I was down .4 this week! WOO HOO!!!! That's maintenance! That's what I want!

For those following my Weight Watchers saga, still nothing new, but I'm going to call back tomorrow to see if I can't get a number for the corporate offices. I want to speak to the policy makers.

And Holly, I'm a little less than halfway through Harry Potter myself. I need to read it more, but I'm on these infernal boards too much!!!!! :)

Do you know that each week I forget what I was the week before, and have to do a search to find out! Today, I didn't even believe what Fitday was telling me. SHEESH!

Anyweigh, it turns out that I lost 1½ pounds this week! I'm a dancing fool right now! Wa-hoo!

Holly, it is amazing that we have collectively lost more than a half a ton. You go girl, I can see that pound lost on you, and you are looking fine!

Tammy, I'm so glad that you have started down the slope again! Pat on the back for your hard work!

Sue, your determination is showing, and I know that you'll have the success that you are looking for this next week. Keep a big glass of

next to you at all times!

Kathe, that 5 pound clippie looks so sparkling and bright on you! Well done! but don't get to used to seeing it there because before you know it, you'll need to trade it in!

Dan, I haven't started HP yet, although my DD is the second time through! I want YOUR maintenance programme when I get there!

Good luck to everyone who follows! THIS is why we have lost over half a ton!

I'm up .1 from two weeks ago.

This is GREAT, because I was up somewhere between 2 and 4 pound after my cruise, so I worked hard to get back to normal this week.

Now I'm back on program, back on a real schedule, not having 5 course meals PLUS desserts PLUS big breakfasts... :p

Okay, bring it on- I'm planning to post a loss this time next week!

(Tammy, I need some whipping this week. Help me out here, girlfriend!)

FINALLY!

I am down a pound this week! After having lost a moderate amount the first two weeks, followed by four weeks of nothing, I lost one solid lb...and I've been holding steady for four days with the loss, so I know it's for real! I also have gone down one whole dress size! I measured myself three weeks ago, when I started to bum out about the scale not budging.... today I measured again and I've lost 2 inches around my waist and one around my hips!

So as a reward, I finally went out to get a bathing suit for my WDW trip in August. A nice expensive one that would fit well and last all summer - it was amazing - for the first time in years I found one that was the right color, right fit, right everything! Keep in mind it was a skirted tankini kind.... but who give a hoot! I'm 40 this year, I can deal with matronly bathing suits.... but usually I end up looking matronly and lumpy. This time I was thrilled to look matronly and markedly less lumpy - Katholyn, you were right - my fat cells DID shrink!!

Best of all, I saw my doctor this week. The nurse who took my blood pressure and pulse said there was a marked difference between this visit and the one I had two months ago. My resting heart rate has always been very high, due to having once been very overweight and having smoked for 20 years. My past resting heart rate was normaly between 88 abd 93 bpms. This time around my pulse was 70/71 bpm and my blood pressure was perfect!!!!

And this is with no marked increase in excersise, just strict adhersion to the low carb lifestyle! I can't wait to get my cholesterol tests done in Sept!

Thanks to everyone for sharing their stories and support!
Sue

I have not been good about checking in weekly so I will start today. Because of a mean old faulty scale, I will guess that my weight loss since joing WISH is between 10-13lbs. I now have a new scale that works & today I weigh 156. Starting next week I will report my weight loss.

Congratulations to all your losers!!!!! :bounce:

You should pat yourselves on the back.

Now, I just need to get through my vacation next week. I think I picked a bad time to start checking in. We shall see, wish me luck!!! :teeth:

I am down another pound:Pinkbounc bringing my total weight loss since joining WISH to 20 pounds. Have a great week everyone.

I am currently 18 pounds down with wish and back on the straight and narrow after gaining 13 pounds on a 2 week trip, I have lost 12 of those pounds in 3 weeks.

Tell me:why does it take so little time to gain but so loooooong to lose??:( :(

I stayed the same this week which isnt a bad thing actually. We are going on our 20th Anniversary Vow Renewal trip this Thursday and I have been adding calories back little by little so that I dont gain weight on the vacation. Sort of doing my own matainance plan. Kinda seeing what/how much I can eat without causing a gain. I had hoped to be down 30 pounds by this trip but I will accept 27.5 and run with it LOL. I was actually able to buy size 8 pants and shorts this week which made me SO happy and dh actually commented about my weight loss without me saying something to him first. This has been a GOOD week!!!

Now if I could just get over the fear of not having my scale with me during the trip I will be okay. Hmmmm wonder if there is a scale at the GF spa?? We are staying at the POLY but Im really thinking of paying the fee to use the GF exercise equipment for the week.

I had a visit from the whoosh fairy! Last week, I was up 1.5 pounds; this week I'm down 3.5, which makes my average 2 week loss right on target. ;) I've lost 40 ponds over a 24 week period on WW, which is an average of 1.5 -1.75/week, which is right on target for sustained, healthy, weight loss. Only had 1 gain in that time, and no plateau...yet. Only 5 more to reach goal! (but maintenance is the real challenge for me! :( )

Checking in :( I went way off (I blame myself and the new 1st Krispie Creme in the state being only 10 minutes away). Those donuts are addictive. I will not even have a taste, that is what let to me having a bunch over a few days. I gained a pound, but my sweetie still managed to take off a pound. Good for him, not good for me. We are going to Maine for a family reunion this weekend and I really what a couple of beers, so...I want to maintain and then do much better after the fourth.

Everyone here is doing so great, I know I can too. Have a great week everyone.

WOO-HOO!!!

This was my first week back after taking a 3 week break and I am so excited to report a 6 pound loss!!!!!!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

I think taking a break was a very good thing for me. I managed to prove to myself that I could maintain but it also allowed me to built my motivation up again so that when I did come back I could really be successful. :) I am beyond thrilled with this weeks results. I actually met my June goal with 1/2 pound to spare and I get to trade my 20 lb. clippie in for my brand new 25 lb. model! :) I was doing some serious happy dancing in my bathroom this morning!

This week will be a challenge for me but I think I am up for it. I am going to visit my family and that is always hard because my Mom is such a terrific cook and I never really get to eat her food anymore so I hate to lose the chance. I plan to eat whatever I want for the actual picnic on the 4th and then I will allow myself one free non-point treat every other day but other than that I plan to stay on points as much as possible. Hopefully I will be able to at least maintain doing this and maybe even lose just a little.

I lost a half-pound. I went back over my journal and I can totally see where I went over on points a few days. Maybe I'm just rehearsing for Maintenance ;) The next 2 weeks will be especially hard because we're getting together with friends for the July 1st holiday, and next week we're on vacation. I will be keeping my water and raw veggies at close reach!

Congrats to everyone this week ... and Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadian Wisher's, and Happy 4th of July to all of my American Wish friends.

Mary Liz
