WISH Check-in Thread week of October 26, 2003

joats Isn't it wonderful when that WHOOSH fairy visits? Good for you losing that vacation gain.

I'll bet you earn that new clipart next week. You're doing great.

Had my first weigh in at WW this afternoon. I was down 5.4 pounds! That means when I have time to figure out how to do it, I can have a 5 pound clippie! I'm so happy! This week I even had some chocolate. I just ate snack a size bar and made sure to count the points. I sure didn't feel deprived this week!My 7 year old DD even gave me a "Good Job!" sticker:Pinkbounc

bairdbeth WOO HOO!! Losing 5.4 pounds in one week is a very motivating loss, isn't it? What a great beginning for you. I'm so happy and proud for you. Keep this up and you will be at goal before you know it!

I was up 0.4 pounds this week, but I know it's the stupid bloat fairy. She came very shortly before weigh-in, darn her! Oh well, I figure that if I keep sticking with it diligently this week, then I might get a bigger loss this next weigh-in. Onward and downward! That 5 pound clippie is going to be mine again soon! :)

166.6/163.6/125.0

1.7# down for me, which puts me a half pound away from that new clippie. I have had my 35# clippie for two months, it is time for a change!!!!! (I am also only 1.5# away from the 50# mark, I am so excited!)

Keep up the good work gang, with persistance we can do this. Onward and downward!!

Hope everyone is having a good week - sticking to their program, fitting in the exercise and drinking their water!! The water is my problem at the moment - I am not having enough! I just find it more difficult in the colder weather.

I am very pleased to be down 2lb this week - which is very good considering it was TOM. I did WATPs most days last week and I think that really helped to record a loss so I am pleased.

Goals for this week WATP 2 mile EVERY day and hopefully to loose the 2lb I have left from my 3 week vacation (and extra week feeling sorry for myself) gain!! I feel I can admit now that it was 10 whole pounds I put on - foolish me!! But I am delighted that in the past two weeks I have now lost 8 of them!!

If I stick to Atkins induction faithfully and do WATP each day I really hope next week will be a good one too,
Claire:D

I lost 1 lb. this week which is wonderful!

I really thought I was going to be at maintain or gain. Didn't make some great choices over the weekend and had a really big dinner on Saturday. All for a good cause - our wedding anniversary is today and we celebrated on Saturday night. AFter all this isn't a diet - it's a lifestyle and sometimes you just have to celebrate!

Did get some exercise in as we did yard work yesterday.

So I'm very happy with my 1 lb. loss. Need to really get into exercise mode this week - I've been putting it off too long!

Congrats to everyone on another wonderful week. Stay with it because it is so worth it!

Hope everyone has a great week

Well, I made it through week one and lost 5 pounds! The funny thing is I'm happy but feel overwhelmed at the amount I still want to loose...

My hubby really saved me yesterday, it was rainy and dreary here in NY and all I wanted was a can of New England Clam Chowder ( a zillion grams of fat and salt:eek: ). He distracted me, made me a cup of tea, and I made it through!!

I think it's great how well everyone is doing, and darn that bloat fairy, she knows she can't stay around long;)

Let's have a great week together, and I added my 5 pound art!

Thanks and blessings everyone!

Hugs,
Emmy

I'm back in the game, focused and ready for the Thanksgiving challenge. Didn't lose anything this week, but considering I had TOM and gave in to my cravings more than I should, I'm OK. At least I don't have to give up my clippie, which was my biggest fear!

Goals for this week include drinking LOTS of water, cutting back on coffee (quite a challenge for me 'cause I LOVE it!), and exercising 5x.

Best wishes to everyone out there--we can do it!

Erin

Checking in! Wish I had good news, but I don't. Still at 152 which sucks since I was really hoping for a whoosh. I was faithful in my exercise until Friday, and this week end I was sick on Saturday, thoug I managed to stroll for an hour. Sunday, I spent the day cleaning the basement, and didn't get to the gym at all. Today doesn't look good either! I have so much laundry and I left the kitchen a mess and I'm really irritated with myself and the rest of my family right now. I ate like a rabbit yesterday. Salad for lunch, although it was at Hooters and I had 2 beers and 2 wings. Still shouldn't be so bad for me. I had a salad for dinner with one piece of pizza. Still pretty tame. Hoping it's water, because it just isn't making sense otherwise. (Restaurant food!)I'll keep on keepin' on though. I really am looking forward to an uncontested Halloween victory. My goal is not one, not even one bite of candy. I am going to kick Halloweens butt this year! It really is an obsession, and I want bragging rights! Good luck to everyone this week!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

Down 3 pounds and grabbed that *amazing* 30 pound clippie!!! Only 12 pounds to onederland now!

Great work everyone, I'm loving all the positive attitudes, it sure makes it easier to keep mine!

:grouphug:

I lost 2.5 pounds this week! I also lost an inch over all. I finally claimed my five pound clippie. Everyone did so well this week! Good luck this week with halloween. I know we can all beat that candy temptation!:D

I am starting Day 4 of the Wendie Plan on WW, and I am SO happy to find the scale moving!! 182 this morning which is great, because yesterday was the super high day (37 points)!! I hope that means even better things await me this week! WOO HOO!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Katholyn,
Thanks for your advice in last week's checkin thread. You are right - if I do a challenge, I won't pick one with a weight loss timeline. Those just end up frustrating me because my body is choosing the rate at which I loose, not my spreadsheet. ;)
Thanks for being here each week!!

I'm bummed, no weight loss for me this week. I was really good with my exercise too. Hopefully it is just because I am on the third week of South Beach and my body is getting use to the carb intake.
Hopefully I will lose some this week as I have a long way to go yet.

5 pounds that is a total of 10... since i started WISH. Time for a new clippie
:)

Yeah I lost a pound (I think it's because my pm buddies exercised for me when I was sick... thanks Helen and Kaye!) and I got a new clippie to boot!!:Pinkbounc

Woo hoo! I lost 1 pound this week, bringing my total to 15.5 pounds, so I get my new clippie!

I also rewarded myself with getting my ring back. It fits well at this weight. Not tight at all.

I'll have to think about my next short term goal (15 pounds and my ring was my last goals set).

I'll be out of town on business this weekend, so I'll have to be careful. The worst part of Japanese food is the sodium content. I always retain so much water after eating their food! I try to pack my own, but it's not always easy.

I lost 2.8 this week. That puts me at 24 pounds lost with wish (almost a new clippie) and 35.2 pounds lost since starting WW's on 6/2/03! This puts me at 12.2 away from my WW's goal. I just can't believe how close that is. It's so within my reach for the first time since I was in my early 20's. Since I was 16 I have only gone up, well except right before I had my son I lost a few pounds and last year I lost 37 pounds. Both times I gained it back. This time I can feel that I have a handle on it and that this is how I will live forever. Thanks to all of you!

Melanie

I've had a really hard stressful week. My DH has been playing Jesus in a production of Godspell, so I've hardly seen him for the past couple of weeks. Then last Tues I had to spend the afternoon in A&E. I had a phone call from my DD's school to say she had been involved in an accident!! We thought that she had broken her right foot (she broke her left foot a few months ago!!) anyway luckily there was no break, she just has a ligament injury which seems to be healing nicely. What I want to know is why hospitals never have anything healthy to eat in there snack machines?!! Anyway I managed to work through all the stress and I stayed OP and this morning I was rewarded when I got on the scale I have lost another 3lbs. So now I have claimed my 40lb clippie, but more importantly I have finally reached onederland :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc So I'm a little excited :sunny:

Hope that everyone has a good week, we can do this :grouphug: onward and downward!!
