This will be for fun, and if you have any questions please post them so we can answer them for you. Basicly each week you will need to report your weight loss to Brenda (dare2dream) and she will tabulate that weeks Biggest Losers. We have threads started each week to help support each other along the way. Celebrate success and lift each other up when needed. Along the way challenges will be posted to help you reach your goals. It is just in fun, and voluntary. Some of the things that we did last time included adding 15 minutes to workouts, trying new fruits and vegetables, taking a bubble bath, etc. these challenges have points assigned to them, and I will keep track of those points. It is just for bragging rights.

This challenge can be alot of fun, and it is great to meet other people that want to encourage you along the way. That is one of the best rewards from the WISH biggest loser challenges!:grouphug:
 
I'm in!!! I'm going persuade my sister too (Larry's girl). She tried for the last Biggest Loser, but had a load of health problems crop up...

This sounds like a lot of fun! One challenge idea that my friend and I did was a "Routine Challenge." We each picked a few things from a list that we created to make our own routine. We then picked a time of day at which we would work that into our routine like after brushing our teeth in the morning or something like that. Just an idea!

I am in. Great idea. :) I definitely need to start eating healthier and get in shape for my wedding next May. I will be in Disney from January 3-10 and as we all know how hard it is to "diet" in Disney. I am excited about the challenge. I will PM my info.
 
Vija - just sent you my buddie information.

Brenda - I will send you my starting weight on Sunday, after I weigh in. I do my weigh ins on Sunday because that is what works best for me, I could never remember to weight in on Tuesdays.

I'm in again. I have been spiraling out of control these last few days and really need to get back on track. Hoping that once I am back to work next week, my routine will straighten out and I can feel more "in control". Of course then DH and I are off on a 3 night cruise the following week, but we are planning on just relaxing and doing a lot of running/walking and using the gym on board.

Thanks to those who have already contacted me with their weights. I would like to request that the weights be reported closer to January 1st our weigh in day. You are welcome to weigh in what ever day you choose, just be consistant and report to me by midnight on Tuesdays.

Count me in for WISH Biggest Loser 4!! I was so busy being a good cheerleader for BL 3 that I did not focus on losing weight! (Lame excuse) I'm so very proud of my Red Team biggest losers.

I love numbers so my job will not be a challenge for me. In 2008 I turn 49 (EEKS!!) and it is time to focus on me.

I currently work at home helping DH in the office of his electrical contracting business. Just married off my baby DS, the youngest of three, and the nest is empty. My first grandhchild was born Jan 07 and #2 is coming Jun 08. I want to be a fun grandma not a slug.

No kids home for Christmas so DH and I are on a road trip to visit friends and family. We saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra in Detroit on Wednesday. Awesome show!! Toward the end of the show they introduced the band and singers. The name of one of the backup gals sounded familiar and I did some research. Yes one of the backup singers went to middle school with my daughter. Wow isn't that cool?

Since we are on the road I have not been checking in too often. I have the laptop but it is not the same as my computer at home. I am now in Dayton, OH. Here's a :wave2: to AlreadyexcitedGrammy. Anyone else from Dayton here? We were gong to leave today for Nauvoo, IL but the weather is bad so we will spend another day here. Then IL, the Saint Louis gateway arch, the inlaws in Arkansas, then to BILs in Virginia and then home to Mds beautiful Eastern Shore. DH is usually in such a hurry when we travel. It is hard to leave the business. I thought we would be home for New Years but we will not and I did not set up to DVR the Biggest Loser!! I am not happy about missing the first episode and I don't think NBC has full episodes online.

Well I guess that is more than enough for now. Can you tell I haven't posted in a while? I am very long winded. Sorry.

My eating has been out of control for the holidays. Now that I have my BL buds to report to I better get a grip on things. Today I will not eat so much junk. I also will exercise. Those are my baby steps for today. What are your plans for today?

Brenda - sorry, I too sent my weight to you before I read the entire thread. I'll weigh in this weekend and will send you an update before 1/1 (hopefully it will be down and not UP!!! :headache:)

Just a quick question... I have never done a Biggest Loser challenge but I am interested.... have you guys decided how long it will be for? And are you guys planning on a lot of weight loss... I only need to lose about 10-15 lbs, Can I still play? Only 10-15.... wow... it doesn't seem like "only" right now, it seems like a HUGE amount.
 
I'm in! I definitely will need support to lose weight and exercise on a consistent basis. This will help a lot! :banana:

usually our challenge ends near or on the date of the season finale -- we'll have to see when that will be once NBC announces it

i have a goal of losing 15 lbs so please play with us!! anyone is welcome! i have yo-yoed this 15 lbs for 2-3 years so it's a big deal for me just as i'm sure it is for you too. but no matter what each one's 'goal' is we are here to keep each other motivated, inspired and acountable! oh yea, have fun and make friends too :teeth:

Count me in, I have really been slacking this past year and I could be at my goal if I just put the effort into it. Hopefully this will be just what I need.
