I hope people will join in on this thread. I was thinking the other night about my weightloss journey and it occurred to me how much I appreciate WISH. I signed up for the WISH challenge in the Fall of 2003. I have gone through Atkins, South Beach, Overeater's Anonymous, my own thing, and now Weight Watchers since then. But WISH has been a consistent source of support and inspiration no matter what phase I was in. I struggled for a solid year yo-yoing with the same 25 lbs (hence the repeated diet change). (NOTE: I'm not blaming any of these diets, they just weren't working for me at the time.) Even though I would give up on many diet plans, I kept coming back to WISH.
I joined the WISH Walkers in training for the Half, but unfortunately I won't be able to go. But I'm still sooooooo grateful for the training time I spent with them. What fun and what a huge boost it was to my exercise program. Now I can easily run 8 miles when I get the chance and it feels soooooooo great! I never would have pushed to the point of enjoying an eight mile run without the Half training I did. GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU WISH WALKERS!
Everyday I can't wait to post on the daily exercise thread (I miss posting when my workouts are in the evenings).
I love watching the "changing of the clippie" parade! April, I see you're sporting the brand new 140 clippie now-- WEIGH TO GO! I'm like a kid at Christmas when its my turn to swap clippies
I've enjoyed reading through the WISH journals (and keep intending to start one!). I've lurked on several other weightloss boards including WW official board and I gotta tell ya, there's no place like WISH!
Thanks everyone for being so great!
